The Only Eye Cream You'll Ever Need? Innisfree Orchid Eye Cream Kbeauty Asian Beauty Korean Beauty

There are some products sold all around the globe that can be easily marked as cult products. Innisfree Orchid Eye Cream is one of these products - you can read lots of interesting reviews and histories related to this small purple jar, almost every of my kbeauty blogger friends had it on their wishlist, I had no other choice than try it on my own. Through all this time my opinion about this cream was changing but after more than 4 months with this cream, I can share with you my final verdict.

Innisfree is a South Korean brand mostly known for their Green Tea Seed Serum which I also tried before (you can find the review here). The history of the brand has started in the year 2000, through all these ages, Innisfree was able to open shops in different places all around the world and focus on the environment, the green policy of the brand is one of the reasons why customers are still going back to Innisfree's products but Innisfree is not only all about cosmetics - the brand's Jeju House is a place which you have to visit while traveling to Jeju.

Orchid Eye Cream is quite a young product, the first articles about Innisfree Orchid Skincare series are dated to the year 2015, the first time I've heard about this cream was while watching one of Joan Kim's daily vlogs then I regularly had some friends telling me how good this cream is. I had a small problem - if I should try eco eye cream first or orchid one but I've decided to start with orchid version. The purple colour of the packaging has a secret meaning - usually, purple colour in Korean skincare is connected to anti-ageing skincare products. I don't know if it's a rule, but that's what I once heard from kociamber w podróży. The jar contains 30 ml of a rich formula cream, the only problem I've got with the packaging is lack of spatula, I usually collect spatulas just in case I buy a cream without an applicator or spatula. I feel like this cream is a never-ending product, I've been using it twice a day and it lasts longer than any other eye cream I've been using. The scent is very delicate, it doesn't remind me of orchid.

The main ingredient - Orchid Extract is quite low on the ingredients list but I don't think it's bad in this case. Producer has decided to put a selection of humectants and emollients higher than the main star - Glycerin, Shea Butter and Carnauba Wax are way higher than Orchid Extract but the cherry on the top of the cake here is Squalane - an ingredient which naturally occurs in sebum but with age we lose it and adding Squalane to our skincare has a very positive effect on anti-aging skin routine. Squalane is a weightless but powerful oil, it's a natural antioxidant that balances lipid barrier, even sensitive skin will enjoy this ingredient. The popularity of the main star in this list - Orchid Extract lays in moisturizing properties. It's an antioxidant that makes your skin glowy and bright and I can easily see that on my skin, the difference before and after the application is visible, the cream might not be an ideal solution for dark circles under your eyes but it can make a small difference. Personally, I'm a fan of Arbutin and Adenosine, two strong and popular anti-ageing ingredients.

I'm not surprised that this product contains Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract - a green tea leaf extract, an ingredient mostly known as an antioxidant and a source of Vitamin C, it's an ingredient that works on different skin types and with different skin conditions, it's a characteristic ingredient for Innisfree. Another interesting ingredient is Citrus Unshiu Peel Extract - a Satsuma Mandarin, an antioxidant and skin brightener, it can help with pigmentation, it's not an ingredient which you can usually see in the product. This product has some ingredients which you might not be a fan of too like PEG-100 Stearate but if I compare the ingredients it's not a bad combination.

If you check Innisfree website, the average rating of this product is 4/5 leaves and 93% of users would recommend this product to a friend, it's a really good result. This product is popular among a large group of consumers, most of them claim that product is moisturizing and it helps with wrinkles. My main problem with eye care is that I spend up to 15 hours per day in front of computer/screen. My eyes are tired and my under eye area has to suffer a lot. I had a small problem with this cream. It is a good moisturiser - it's not a joke, it does its job - the skin around the eyes is more sensitive and it's thinner, I check it with BIA Wayskin Analyzer and this cream works for many hours, it keeps the skin moist and fresh. Orchid Eye Cream is weightless, you can't even feel it on your skin - as long as you put a light layer of the cream on the area you can use it under your makeup, do not try to put too much cream on the area otherwise the cream will roll up. I had a moment when I wanted to tell - wait I don't understand why this product is so popular but Wayskin just showed me that this cream does what the producer claims.

Innisfree Orchid Eye Cream costs $29 for only 30ml, in the packaging you won't find a spatula but cream lasts about 5-6 months or even longer - depends on how often you use it, I use it twice a day and I still have about 1-2 months of use. For sure I'll go back to this cream and that might be actually my favourite Innisfree product.

P.S. Right now you can get Innisfree lucky box - you might get Eye Cream in a box.

Have you ever tried this cream? What's your favourite eye cream and do you use eye creams or do you think they are unnecessary in a skincare?
