3rd week of our summer blogger challenge is on, this week is all about relaxing and summer outfits. That's why today I'm going to show you how do I relax at work and I'll tell you more about work as a freelancer.
Being a freelancer - do I have some free time?
For some people being a freelancer equals you do not work - you're just a free soul, you're your own boss. The truth is a little bit different. Currently, I work in one company from home office and this for is also called "freelancing" - I can work from home or from China, Spain, wherever I want but I've got some hours in which I should work and an amount of work which I have to do. I've got other projects which I'm doing mostly related to graphic design & UI design but it's more like I had a chance to learn something new from a very big global brand and who knows how it'll end. As you know, I've got a season at work when I feel totally burned out and rhinorrhea doesn't help me. The worst thing in freelancer's work is that your workspace is usually your home - it's not good for your mental health to keep your work at home but on the other side - I do not waste time on buses and I can work even if I'm sick.
Then how do I relax?
It's not an easy topic because I still have problems with relaxation. Some people have yoga, I've got green tea and nature. If I'm stressed I'm trying to go out for a walk - 5 to 10 km are the best. I've started to walk more than normally not only for my mental health but also I have to work out a little bit - you just can't stay still all day long in one place. I have to admit that I also decided to take on some workout challenges which I have found on Pinterest. So far I do not feel tired so that's great, maybe my motivation is good, who knows. The best thing I can do for my skin and body is a good diet, good skincare and workouts.
Sheet mask, mist & thermal water
So how do I relax during work? There are 3 items which I always use during my work - sheet mask, face mist and thermal water. It might sound easy - I work from home so I have time for a face mask. Believe me - it's easy even in an office to use a face mist during a work, in some jobs, you might be even able to put a sheet mask on.
Herbs, teas & herbal teas
I'm a tea-lover, I can drink tea all day long. Usually, I'm buying organic white tea or Chinese green tea from an eco store. It's not the cheapest type of tea but due to my allergy I can't use teas with aromas, right now I have found a Lipton herbal tea with very nice ingredients in it, I haven't tried it yet but maybe I feel like this option might be interesting for some of you.
TV & Languages?
The best way for me to stop thinking about work and relax a little bit are foreign TV series. If you want to learn a language it's a nice way to learn new words, it's also a nice way to get this 1 hour for yourself during the day.
It's quite a short post but I hope you've enjoyed it anyway. Remember to check other posts:
