Pore cleansing is not the easiest thing to do. There are some special pore packs like pore stripes but I've heard mixed opinions about them - they enlarge pores, they are not effective, they are painful, etc. I have to admit that in 2017 I've changed my pore care totally, I've started to use bubbles... Today I'm going to show you one of the products that help me with my pore care. Meet the Rivecowe Bubble Mask Pack.

Couple words about brand
Rivecowe is a South Korean brand, the name Rivecowe stands for Lovely Skin 'Rive' and Cosmetics Well 'Cowe'. The brand has really cute packaging design and it looks like the main target of this brand are teenagers and girls in early 20's.

Packaging
I won't write about packaging colours, etc. It's really easy to open this product. All the information are on the back of this product.

Ingredients
Water, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Dipropylene Glycol, Disiloxane, Methyl Perfluorobutyl Ether, Potassium Cocoyl Glycinate, Sodium Lauroyl Glutamate, Glycerin, 1,2-Hexanediol, Betaine, Xanthan Gum, Allantoin, Methyl Undecenoyl Leucinate, Butylene Glycol Dicaprylate/Dicaprate, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Oil, Rosa Centifolia Flower Oil, Camellia Japonica Seed Extract, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Oil, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Isopropyl Myristate, Disodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance

Water - a source of minerals and moisture. It’s the most basic element of the product. Cocamidopropyl Betaine - also known as Coco-Betaine, it’s a cleansing & hair-conditioning agent, but it’s also a foam maker. People with sensitive skin should be careful with this substance. Dipropylene Glycol - emollient and humectant. Good moisturiser. Disiloxane - a synthetic substance and an antifoaming agent. Methyl Perfluorobutyl Ether - a solvent that dissolves more oxygen than water. It is told that this ingredient can help with collagen production and wound healing. This ingredient is used in bubble mask. Potassium Cocoyl Glycinate - a mild surfactant delivered from coconut oil glycine. Sodium Lauroyl Glutamate - a surfactant and antistatic substance. It has a good meaning in hair care. Glycerin - a humectant and a delicate preservative, but also a very powerful moisturiser. It helps other substances to get beneath the skin but it also regenerates the skin. Some people say it might be comedogenic, but in the comedogenic rating, this ingredient is placed very low. 1,2-Hexanediol - a preservative and humectant with antibacterial properties. Some people say that it might be irritating. Betaine - a humectant with anti-static properties. It’s a strong moisturiser that makes skin and hair soft, it also makes wrinkles more smooth. Xanthan Gum - also known as E415, a safe stabiliser and thickener. Allantoin - an ingredient with skin soothing and anti-inflammatory properties. It’s a great moisturiser that regenerates the skin and helps with wound healing - it’s also an ingredient which you can use after a sunburn. This ingredient is recommended for every skin type. Methyl Undecenoyl Leucinate - also known as DermaWhite 110 and DermaPep UL, a whitening peptide that brightens your skin and helps with pigmentation. It’s a very powerful ingredient with anti-inflammatory properties. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any medical researches on this ingredient if it’s safe to use or not but it has been approved and you can find it in cosmetic products. Butylene Glycol Dicaprylate/Dicaprate - an emollient that keeps skin from dehydration. Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Oil - a natural flower oil with antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and antiseptic properties. It is also known as German Chamomile or Blue Chamomile. It also gives scent to the product. Rosa Centifolia Flower Oil - also known as Cabbage Rose. A natural oil with antiseptic and antibacterial properties. It works very well on mature and acne-prone skin. It also gives the scent to the product. Camellia Japonica Seed Extract - Camellia Japonica is a very powerful ingredient. Usually, we see it in cosmetics as an oil - also known as Tsubaki Oil. It’s an antioxidant that makes skin and hair soft. Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Oil - an emollient and strong moisturiser but also a source of vitamin E. It is told that this ingredient can help with acne, wrinkles, eczema or irritation but it can be also comedogenic for some of you. Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil - an emollient and source of vitamins and oleic acids such as Vitamin A, Vitamin D and linoleic acid. It’s a strong moisturiser and emulsifier that nourishes the skin. It can be used even on a sensitive skin, it is very useful in a skin care of the mature skin. It can be comedogenic so it should be used on the acne-prone skin in moderation. Try to use it on your hair - it might help you with dry hair. Isopropyl Myristate - a synthetic oil & emollient, it makes the product less sticky. Unfortunately, it’s highly comedogenic so acne-prone & oily skin might not like it. Disodium EDTA - a stabiliser and stickiness moderator. It prevents a product from bacteria and it boosts other preservatives. Don’t use it on wounds - even on the small ones. This ingredient shouldn’t be mixed with heavy metals such as Zinc or Iron - even if you use only medicines based on these ingredients. It also shouldn’t be mixed with nitrogenous compounds. Phenoxyethanol - a preservative, not good for health. Fragrance - a scent maker - it can be natural or synthetic one. The natural ones are safe, but the synthetic ones can be irritating and they can be strong allergens.

Smell & Texture
The smell is similar to the scent of lemons or grapefruits. The texture is pretty good, the mask is solid, it's hard to damage it during the application and the bubbles feel nice on my skin.

How does it work for me?
I think that this mask is really effective on my skin and it makes my skin brighter, I can really see the difference because all the redness on my face is gone - redness it's not my problem so I'm not sure how this mask will work if you've got a very visible skin redness but if you've got some small changes then it should work well on your skin. The ingredient that makes skin brighter here is Methyl Undecenoyl Leucinate - also called Dermawhite, it's a very effective ingredient if it comes to skin brightening. But we shouldn't talk about brightening here because it's the only additional thing here, this mask is a pore mask. Do bubbles really help with pores? Yes! It is told that bubble masks are less invasive than pore stripes. Bubbles are possible because of the Methyl Perfluorobutyl Ether, I had to leave this mask on my face for about 5 minutes but I must admit that I left it for about 10-15 minutes, bubbles usually tickle my face but it's a nice feeling. I see some changes when I use this mask and when I do not use it - this mask clean my pores really well, they do not look as enlarged as before but it's not like your pores will look the same when you stop caring about them - it's good to use this mask once a week or even two. I'm not sure why there's Disiloxane if it's a bubble mask? Maybe the main idea is to make this product less bubbly, even if, still bubbles here are pretty impressive. Overall, I'm already planning to buy this mask because I really like it, I've tried similar masks before and even if sometimes the area on my face near nose doesn't like bubbles because I sniff them and that's not a nice feeling, I can stand it but I have to admit, sometimes I have to cut this part where I should have a moustache :D
