I do not know how about you but for me, Autumn is a season when I crave for some pumpkin and apples - not only in my food but also in my skincare. Let me introduce to apple lip care by Laneige, pumpkin mask by Peter Thomas Roth, Whamisa and pumpkin set by The Body Shop. Are you ready to feel the autumn in your bathroom?
Pumpkin and Apple
Every ingredient - even the one that you can find in the kitchen can have a positive or negative impact on your skin. Apples are the source of Vitamin C and Vitamin A. It is told that apples can help with pigmentation, acne and wrinkles. Pumpkin is also packed with vitamins - especially Vitamin C and B6. Both ingredients aren't really that common but you can find some products based on them like Too Cool For School Pumpkin Masks series.
Peter Thomas Roth Pumpkin Enzyme Mask
Homemade cinnamon masks are very popular, I also tried them when I was a teenager but homemade remedies aren't always safe and let's be honest - sometimes making a mask (and a mess) and cleaning after the whole procedure takes a long time while we want something quick. What's so special about this mask? It contains Ascorbic Acid - Vitamin C, Retinyl Palmitate - Vitamin A, Sodium Lactate - Lactic Acid and ferments. If you add the scent to it, it's a perfect mask for autumn or even winter.
Laneige Apple Lime Lip Sleeping Mask
I never thought that I can do anything about my dry lips till I found Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask in a traditional pink version - also called a berry version. I think that year ago around this time Laneige released a limited collection of this masks in 4 versions - Berry, Vanilla, Grapefruit and Apple Lime. I wasn't planning to get Apple version but it turned out this way - it was the cheapest lip mask at the moment. Even if Apple Lime version gets not as positive reviews as the Berry version, it still has some good ingredients such as Shea Butter, Candelilla Wax and fruit extracts.
Whamisa Organic Fruits Body Lotion
Why are ferments so popular in skincare products? Ferments are nothing new - even in skincare but it's true that they have a positive impact on the skin. Whamisa is a brand that decided to base their products on ferments, they do not only focus on skincare but also on body care and hair care. The base for this lotion is Aloe Maculata Leaf Extract but it contains also Apple Fruit Extract, Lavender Oil and Licorice Root Extract. The smell of fermented products is very different and still, I can smell this hint of apple cider in it.
Whamisa Organic Fruits Body Cleanser
The line wouldn't be full without body cleanser! It's not very different from Body Lotion - it also contains Aloe Maculata Leaf Extract, Apple Fruit Extract, Lavender Oil and Licorice Root Extract but there's also Potassium Cocoate - a surfactant. If you're scared of SLS and you try to choose wisely or just choose organic options then it might be a cleanser for you.
The Body Shop Vanilla Pumpkin Body Butter
This brand is famous for their body butter collection, you can love them or hate them but that's probably the first recommendation you get if you ask "what product from The Body Shop should I try?". Vanilla Pumpkin series is a limited series that contains body butter, shower gel and hand cream (in some countries it's also shimmer mist). This product is quite weird because even if it contains vanilla and caramel, it has no ingredient related to pumpkin. Still, the smell reminds me of winter and even for a picky person like me, I can easily stand the smell of this butter and I wish it could be in a normal collection, not a limited one.
The Body Shop Vanilla Pumpkin Shower Gel
Another item from TBS pumpkin limited series. Honey, Caramel and Vanilla sound more like a Christmas theme but the smell will fit for autumn too. This one contains SLS so if you're not scared and you crave for some themed cosmetics - why not get it now and use it during this upcoming winter time.
Mediheal Pumpkin Ade Mask
I was lucky enough to find this mask - I wanted to order this mask or Pumpkin Tonymoly mask which is probably available only in the US now to show you that pumpkin can be also found in sheet masks. This mask contains Pumpkin and Pear Fruit Extracts, but I prefer to look after Allantoin and Panthenol.
Are there any products that are ready for Halloween in K-beauty?
I wasn't able to get any but there are some products that can fit Halloween theme very well but still I feel like a year ago brands made more products related to this theme/day than this year. Items like Too Cool For School Fresh Gore Sleeping Mask or LadyKin Vanpir Dark Repair Cream will be ideal picks for all of the Halloween & Skincare lovers. I do not know how about you but I do not need Halloween to frighten my family with a sheet mask - especially the bubble one, no one expects a pale kid with pink hair and a sheet/bubble mask walking at 3 am. So if you need a last minute Halloween idea - you're welcome, sheet mask might work!
Do you have any Halloween/Autumn themed cosmetics? Do you plan to get any Winter/Christmas themed products?
