It's Earth Day today! At least it's already in some locations. Usually, we are not aware that our daily choices have big meaning to our planet - every small decision we make, even the ones related to the skincare have an impact. We can't deny sheet masks aren't the best choice for our planet but today I thought I'm going to tell you about 7 brands worth a check if you want to care about your skin and environment at the same time.

RE:P

Brand RE:P is a sister brand of Neogen. The name RE:P stands for Real Elemental Practise, it's a vegan kbeauty brand and probably the only Korean brand with Leaping Bunny Certificate (if you want to verify this information - search for Outin Futures, a mother company of both RE:P & Neogen). The brand focuses not only on what's inside the product but also on the packaging.
I've mentioned this brand before on the blog, RE:P Bio Fresh Mask With Real Calming Herb which is my favourite mask contains natural ingredients such as small pieces of dried calendula.

Innisfree

I feel like this brand doesn't need any introduction. The whole magic of Innisfree is on an island called Jeju, but I wanted to mention this brand not because of the fact that it's all about Jeju but because of their green policy. At least in places where you have local Innisfree stores, you can return empty bottles. On brand's website, we can find information related to campaigns such as Eco handkerchief campaign - they usually mix nice designs with a campaign that help us change our habits like using plastic bags instead of eco bags. If you want to try this brand, go for Innisfree Green Tea Seed Serum or Innisfree Orchid Eye Cream

Primera

Another eco-friendly brand on this list is Primera. I'm a fan of Primera's Instagram account, it fits my aesthetic but what really caught my eye is Love Earth campaign which usually starts around Earth's Day since 2012.

Laneige

I wanted to mention this brand because of the Refill Me Campaign which took place according to the internet in 2017, it's not a new thing since Laneige focused on this activity since 2010. Laneige is a brand focusing on water, they have a whole line related to Water, personally, I like Laneige Water Sleeping Mask and I consider it as the best sleeping mask I've ever tried. The Refill Me action is all about Water supplies - the brand takes part in a campaign which helps to supply kids from poor countries with clean water and better education, this small change makes a lot of difference.

Aromatica

I believe that finding Vegan K-beauty is really hard, some brands like Aromatica offers vegan-friendly cosmetics (Aromatica has a partnership with Vegan Society according to the brand's website). Aromatica is an EWG certified brand, they mostly focus on eco-friendly and safe materials but they also care about packaging and energy-waste. I've tried some samples before and honestly, Aromatica Organic Aloe Vera Gel is one of not many aloe gels which I can use.

Whamisa

Do you want some fermented skincare? Then Whamisa is a brand for you! This brand has both, BDIH and EWG certificates, besides that Whamisa uses organic ingredients to make vegetarian & vegan-friendly formulas. The packaging of the products is environment-friendly. I've tried Whamisa toners and I only think about going back to Whamisa Olive Leaf Mist since it was the best mist I've ever tried.

Klairs

One of the first K-beauty brands I've tried - Klairs. This brand is doing it's best to make all the products vegan-friendly, I think that only 1 product contains beeswax or they have already eliminated it but I'm 100% sure that Klairs product doesn't contain harsh chemicals and artificial colourants. Klairs do not test products on animals and this year brand has started the project called Stay Beagley to make people aware of animal testing. It's not the first Klairs' project this type. If you're new to the brand I recommend you try a new Klairs Supple Preparation Unscented Toner and Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Cream

All these brands I've tried personally and I like to choose them over choosing brands that do nothing - takes no part in any activities related to our planet or living. But let me know what do you think about eco-friendly skincare and brand activities. Do you know any other brand which is doing small things to make our planet better and greener?
