Nivea Sun Protect & Bronze Tan Activating Sun Lotion Innisfree Perfect UV Protection Essence Waterbase Dermedic Sunbrella Sunscreen tonymoly bunny mist l'occitane pivoine sublime peony mist

May is Skin Cancer Awareness Month so it's ideal time to talk more about sunscreens. Some of you might be tired of this topic but hey! Good sun protection can prevent skin from skin cancer and can slow down the ageing process. This time I'll focus on reviews. Obviously, I wasn't able to test them all so at least I can share with you some news and info. Let's test some products from Innisfree, Nivea, The Body Shop and Dermedic.

At first, I didn't feel positive about this sunscreen because it's not a mineral sunscreen. Mineral sunscreens are better for sensitive skin but they leave a white cast and that's the main reason why people prefer chemical ones over mineral ones. The scent of this product is quite heavy but I quickly got used to it, the application of the product is very easy, my skin isn't oily after every use and what's the most important - it works perfectly with my makeup. I've tried many different sunscreens and that's the second sunscreen that works with makeup but this one doesn't smell like pure alcohol and that's the reason why currently I think it's the best sunscreen I've ever tried. I have to admit that I want to try non-nano sunscreen badly but firstly I need to end this one.

Nivea Sun Protect & Bronze Tan Activating Sun Lotion Innisfree Perfect UV Protection Essence Waterbase Dermedic Sunbrella Sunscreen

Nivea Sun Protect & Bronze Tan Activating Sun Lotion SPF 30

Aqua, Homosalate, Octocrylene, Alcohol Denat., Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane, Ethylhexyl Salicylate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Ethylhexyl Cocoate, Octyldodecanol, Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine, Glyceryl Stearate, Hydrogenated Coco-Glycerides, Phenylbenzimidazole Sulfonic Acid, Glycyrrhetinic Acid, Tetrasodium Iminodisuccinate, Cellulose Gum, Tocopheryl Acetate, Glycerin, Tapioca Starch, Sodium Stearoyl Glutamate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Xanthan Gum, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Dimethicone, Silica Dimethyl Silylate, Trisodium EDTA, Sodium Chloride, Sodium Hydroxide, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Linalool, Limonene, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Benzyl Alcohol, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Citronellol, Eugenol, Coumarin, Geraniol, Parfum

Thanks to Nivea Polska I was able to test their new Tan Activating Sun Lotion but for me, there are two or even three problems with this product which do not really help me making this review, I'm naturally a pale person, I like being pale, I use SPF 50/50+ only and as I said before - I prefer mineral sunscreens. If you like chemical sunscreens and SPF 30 is ideal for you and you still want to get even tan on your skin then this product might be interesting for you. I saw online that some people thought it's a fake tan but it's not, it's more like a product that activates natural processes to make your skin looks healthier and give a little bit of colour while protecting. The whole concept sounds really nice and I think that Nivea did a good job with this product, somehow it reminds me one Dove product, it was a self-tanner or something similar but in this case, the shade you should get looks more natural.

sunscreen Dermedic Sunbrella Emulsja Ochronna SPF 30

Dermedic Sunbrella Emulsja Ochronna SPF 30

Aqua, Titanium Dioxide (nano), Aluminia, Stearic Acid, Cyclomethicone, Zinc Oxide (nano), Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Glyceryl Isostearate, Polyhydroxystearic Acid, Glycerin, Sorbitan Oleate, Polyglyceryl-3 Polyricinoleate, Betaine, Isopropyl Palmitate, Olea Europaea Fruit Oil, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Lanolin, Butyrospermum Parkii Butter, Sodium Chloride, Cera Microcristallina, Linum Usitatissimum Seed Oil, Tocopheryl Acetate, Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Panthenol, Allantoin, Parfum, Dehydroacetic Acid, Benzyl Alcohol.

Dermedic is a Polish brand which I use for last 4 years I think, every year I got myself a tube of Dermedic sunscreen and Bioderma Sunscreen, the baby version is based on mineral sunscreens so don't be surprised formula is thick, bit oily and it leaves a white cast. I hope that you remember about re-applying the sunscreen every 2-3 hours, no matter if you use chemical, hybrid or physical sunscreens we should remember about re-application of the sunscreen. The packaging is not really large but we have to remember that sunscreens are usually good to use for 3 to 6 months after opening.

sunscreen The Body Shop Skin Defence Multi-Protection Essence LEADERS 7 WONDERS AFTER SUN MASK

The Body Shop Skin Defence Multi-Protection Essence SPF50 PA++++

Aqua/Water/Eau, Alcohol Denat., Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Neopentyl Glycol Diheptanoate, Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane, Butylene Glycol, Dimethicone, Glycerin, Polymethyl Methacrylate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Phenoxyethanol, Octocrylene, Chlorphenesin, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Cetearyl Glucoside, Sclerocarya Birrea Seed Oil, Parfum/Fragrance, 3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid, Sodium Hydroxide, Palmaria Palmata Extract, Carbomer, Linalool, Tocopherol, Limonene, Citronellol

I used this cream year ago and I had mixed feelings about it. It's a good product if you want a chemical sunscreen, it works well with makeup but the scent isn't the best since alcohol is quite high (on 4th place) and you can easily smell it, my skin didn't get dry but still the smell is not my cup of tea. If I would be out of sunscreen and I had to get one immediately then I would repurchase it but another way? Not really.

What with aftercare?

This year I'm unprepared and my only aftercare is Benton Aloe Gel* (link here*) and Leaders Mask (I've made a whole review post about Leaders Masks before). Will I buy more products for sunscreen aftercare? Probably yes!

Let me know what sunscreen do you use and do you use sunscreen only during the summer or during the whole year?
