propolis ampoules and serums Leegeehaam Grow Vita Propolis Ampoule It's Skin Power 10 Formula Propolis Effector iUnik Propolis Vitamin Synergy Serum

This year I'm all about propolis and I believe you're too. Propolis is used all around the world as an antibacterial ingredient to fight acne, smooth the skin texture, give it a glow and brighten your skin. This time I've decided to focus on propolis ampoule to help you select the best one, I've tested iUnik Propolis Serum, LeeGeeHaam Propolis Ampoule and It's Skin Power 10 Formula Propolis Effector and I want to share with you my opinion on these products as well as share with you some tips on how to add propolis ampoule to your routine and which ampoule should you choose.

What's a propolis?

Propolis is sometimes called a bee glue, it's nothing else than saliva mixed with resin and beeswax. Bees use propolis for its antibacterial properties - it prevents them from spreading diseases and it works in a similar way on the skin. Propolis is well known in the cosmetic industry for antibacterial, antiseptic and antifungal properties, it's been used for ages to clean and heal wounds. It is told that even Aristotle used Propolis. Before using products with propolis always do a patch test, unless you are allergic to honey, bee stings or anything related to bees then please, do not try it - it might be too dangerous for you.

How to choose a propolis ampoule?

We already know why propolis is good, you are sure that you're not allergic so you can choose an ampoule or serum now. The most important thing for us is an ingredient concentration. Normally, brands won't inform you about the percentage of the ingredient in a product, but first place is the most important to us, everything else is in a smaller concentration and we need the most out of ampoule/serum. So ideally Propolis should be first. Another thing is the number of ingredients, we need shorter ingredient lists, then we will make sure that the concentration of ingredients is good and we do not get ingredients which are unwanted. Last but not least size and price ratio, this time I'll do some maths to count the price of 1 ml of each product, the shipping cost won't be included and I'll base on shops like BeautyTap, Style Korean, Jolse, Cosmetic Love, Yesstyle, Beautynetkorea, missbeautykorea, ibuybeauti, BBCosmetics, Riley Rose, Glow Recipe, Soko Glam and brands websites - I do not include ebay since I cannot verify the sellers.

The difference between ampoule and serum?

The ampoule is a treatment which we prefer to use couple times per week/month as a treatment, it usually contains less ingredients and bigger amount of the ingredient - in this case propolis - than serum while serum is for an every-day/twice a day use in a longer period of time.

propolis ampoules and serums Leegeehaam Grow Vita Propolis Ampoule It's Skin Power 10 Formula Propolis Effector iUnik Propolis Vitamin Synergy Serum

Leegeehaam Grow Vita Propolis Ampoule

Propolis Extract, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Hippophae Rhamnoides Extract, Panthenol, Rosa Centifolia Flower Water, Niacinamide, 1,2-Hexanediol, Ethyl Ascorbyl Ether, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Bark/Twig Extract, Centella Asiatica Extract, Carbomer, Arginine, Spirodela Polyrrhiza Extract, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Dipotassium, Glycyrrhizate, Sodium Hyaluronate, Adenosine
This ampoule is really small and quite popular on Instagram. According to brand Propolis Extract makes 50% of the whole ampoule and it's on a first place. The second place takes Portulaca Oleracea Extract - an antioxidant. The formula is quite short but the size of it is bit small since it's only 15 ml. I've tried this ampoule and I can see the differences, it does reduce the acne, it's non-sticky formula which you can use with makeup + you can make a small trick with it - gently tap it into your cheekbone after makeup to add some natural glow to the face. It's a delicate product and I feel like I might buy it again.

PRICE:
Glow Recipe: $38/15 ml ($2,53/1 ml) Yesstyle: $16,90/1 ml ($1,13/1 ml) missbeautykorea: $22,08/15 ml ($1,47/1 ml)  TesterKorea: $24,98/15ml ($1,67/1 ml) Average price: $1,70/1 ml

Skinfood Royal Honey Propolis Enrich Essence

Propolis Extract (63%), Royal Jelly Extract (10%), Honey Extract (10%), Dipropylene Glycol, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Beta-Glucan, Carbomer, Arginine, Sodium Hyaluronate, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Disodium Edta, Water, Phenoxyethanol

Another popular Propolis product, you might be surprised why I've mentioned it here since it's neither a serum nor an ampoule but its properties are very similar. The formulas are really good with a small detail - we have Propolis Extract (63%), Royal Jelly Extract (10%) and Honey Extract (10%) first which is already a good start, but we end the whole formula with Phenoxyethanol. Still, I believe this formula is worth a try because of this strong beginning.

PRICE:
Sokoglam: $39/50ml ($0,78/1 ml) Beautytap**: $27,50/50 ml ($0,55/1 ml) Jolse: $21,31/50ml ($0,43/1 ml) Yesstyle: $21,96/50ml ($0,44/1 ml) CosmeticLove**: $16,36/50ml ($0,33/1 ml) ibuybeauti: $20,13/50 ml ($0,41/1 ml) missbeautykorea: $20,25/50ml ($0,41/1 ml) TesterKorea: $23,15/50 ml ($0,46/1 ml) Average price: $0,48/1ml

COSRX Propolis Light Ampule

Propolis Extract, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Betaine, 1,2-Hexanediol, Cassia Obtusifolia Seed Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Carbomer, Panthenol, Arginine
Another holy grail product, you can love it or hate it but Propolis (80%) is first here and the formulas are quite short. I'm not a fan of Butylene Glycol in a second place but I can't deny it's a product worth a try.

PRICE:
Style Korean**: $28/20 ml ($1,40/1 ml) Beautytap**: $24/20 ml ($1,20/1 ml) Jolse: $19,50/20 ml ($0,98/1 ml) Yesstyle: $19,92/20ml ($1,00/1 ml) CosmeticLove**: $16,79/20 ml ($0,84/1 ml) ibuybeauti: $17,83/20 ml ($0,89/1 ml) BBCosmetic: $16,99/20 ml ($0,85/1 ml) missbeautykorea: $22,66/20 ml ($1,13/1 ml) TesterKorea: $18,13/20ml ($0,91/1 ml) Average price: 1,02/1 ml

propolis ampoules and serums Leegeehaam Grow Vita Propolis Ampoule It's Skin Power 10 Formula Propolis Effector iUnik Propolis Vitamin Synergy Serum

It's Skin Power 10 Formula Propolis Effector

Honey Extract, Propolis Extract, Butylene Glycol, Glycereth-26, Glycerin, Sodium Hyaluronate, Niacinamide, Sea Water, Neopentyl Glycol Diheptanoate, Caprylyl Glycol, Rosa Centifolia Flower Extract, Bellis Perennis (Daisy) Flower Extract, Freesia Refracta Extract, Ethylhexylglycerin, Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Peg-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Carbomer, Triethanolamine, Peg-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Ppg-26-Buteth-26, Fragrance, Xanthan Gum, Disodium Edta

An ampoule which I'm testing right now and I'm really happy that I've decided to get it. The biggest plus of this product is its availability - I got it from the local online store, the price was a bit higher than when I order products from Korea but it wasn't that bad if I have to say that I've waited maybe even less than 24 hours to get the product. Ampoule itself is stronger than iUnik serum and it works nicely on my skin but it's not as powerful as LJH ampoule. Still, I think it's a nice deal. The ingredients list is longer but it contains Propolis Extract and Honey Extract at two first places, it also contains Niacinamide to make the ampoule more effective. The price for this ampoule is really good since average price for 1 ml is $0,83.

PRICE:
Style Korean**: $17/30ml ($0,57/1 ml) Jolse: $13,58/30ml ($0,45/1 ml) Yesstyle: $15,11/30 ml ($0,50/1 ml) CosmeticLove**: $8,66/30ml ($0,29/1 ml) ibuybeauti: $10,02/30ml ($0,33/1 ml) missbeautykorea: $9,45/30ml  ($0,32/1 ml) TesterKorea: $9,45/30ml ($0,32/ 1ml) Average price: $0,83/1 ml

CNP Laboratory Propolis Energy Ampule

Water, Propolis Extract, Glycerin, Sodium Hyaluronate, Butylene Glycol, Beta-Glucan, Punica Granatum Fruit Extract, Fig Fruit Extract, Codonopsis Lanceolata Root Extract, Melissa Officinalis Leaf Extract, Sophora Flavescens Root Extract, 1,2-Hexanediol, Imperata Cylindrica Root Extract, Honey Extract, Madecassoside, Allantoin, Sigesbeckia Orientalis Extract, Rabdosia Rubescens Extract, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-38, Hydroxypropyl Cyclodextrin, Argenine, Disodium EDTA, Polysorbate 20, PEG-8, Carbomer, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil

Lot's of ingredients and Propolis Extract on a 2nd place, but it contains Beta-Glucan and Madecassoside. This one contains many ingredients - I think 27 ingredients. The price is quite high and I would rather try another ampoule even if it contains Madecassoside

PRICE:
Style Korean**: $29/15ml ($1,93/1ml) RileyRose: $25/15ml ($1,67/1ml) TesterKorea: $24,11/15ml ($1,61/1ml) Average price: $1,74/1 ml

Hope Girl Honey Bee Royal Propolis Solution Serum

Water, Glycerin, Dipropylene Glycol, Linum Usitatissimum (Linseed) Seed Extract, Melia Azadirachta Flower Extract, Melia Azadirachta Leaf Extract, Curcuma Longa (Turmeric) Root Extract, Ocimum Sanctum Leaf Extract, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Extract, Corallina Officinalis Extract, Honey Extract, Propolis Extract, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Dimethicone, PEG/PPG/Polybutylene Glycol-8/5/3 Glycerin, Hydrogenated Polydecene, Butylene Glycol, Glyceryl Stearate, Stearic Acid, C12-20 Alkyl Glucoside, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Sodium Polyacrylate, Tromethamine, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Biosaccharide Gum-1, Carbomer, Disodium EDTA, Fragrance
It's a serum so it'll contain more ingredients but Honey Extract and Propolis didn't even get to the first 10 ingredients on the list. What's interesting, this serum contains Stearic Acid which is a comedogenic ingredient. The price is good and the packaging contains 40ml which would be great for ampoule but for serum - it's not really impressive amount even if the price is good.

PRICE:
Jolse: $15,58/40 ml ($0,39/1ml) Yesstyle: $19,85/40 ml ($0,50/1ml) beautynetkorea: $16/40 ml ($0,40/1ml) Average price: $0,43/1 ml

propolis ampoules and serums Leegeehaam Grow Vita Propolis Ampoule It's Skin Power 10 Formula Propolis Effector iUnik Propolis Vitamin Synergy Serum

iUnik Propolis Vitamin Synergy Serum*

Propolis Extract, Hippophae Rhmnoides Fruit Extract, Water, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Methylprpanediol, Niancinamide, Dipropylene Glycol, 1,2-Hexaanediol, Rosa Damascena Flower Water, Sodium Hyaluronate, Betaine, Glycosyl Trehalose, Honey ExtractBeta-Glucan, Hydrogenated Starch Hydrolysate, Allantoin, Carbomer, Arginine, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Adenosine, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Pentylene Glycol, Citrus Auranitum Eergamia Fruit Oil, Centella Asiatica Extract, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Hamamelis Virginiana Extract, Punica Granatum Fruit Extract, Ficus Carica Fruit Extract, Mours Alba Fruit Extract, Ginkgo Biloba Nut Extract, Caprylyl Glycol

I've been testing this serum for quite a long time now and I like it. Propolis Extract (70%) is on a first place, ingredients are good, second place takes Hippophae Rhamnoides Fruit Extract - a hydrating ingredient. The dropper is really easy to use and it's quite delicate serum and because its serum there's more ingredients than we expect but I still think it's a nice, delicate and non-sticky formula. It works well with makeup and personally, I have no objections to it but it's not a Holy Grail.

PRICE:
iUnik: $19,99/50 ml ($0,40/1 ml) Yesstyle: $16,99/50 ml ($0,34/1 ml) TesterKorea: $16,78/50ml ($0,33/1 ml) Average price: $0,36/1 ml

TOSOWOONG Propolis Sparkle Ampoule

Propolis Extract, Water, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Glycereth-26, Honey Extract, Artemisia Vulgaris Extract, Sophora Angustifolia Root Extract, Coptis Chinensis Root Extract, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, PVM/MA Copolymer, Glyceryl Acrylate/Acrylic Acid Copolymer, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Peel Oil, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Oil, Citrus Aurantifolia (Lime) Oil, Pinus Sylvestris Leaf Oil, Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Oil, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, PEG-2M, Sucrose Distearate, Polyglutamic Acid, Xanthan Gum, Dimethicone, Betaine, Tromethamine, Disodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Chlorphenesin, 1,2-Hexanediol, Caprylyl Glycol, Ethylhexylglycerin
Another ampoule, but this one has Propolis (it is told to be: 80%) on a first place even if the list of ingredients is quite long. It contains lots of natural oils which can be bad for sensitive skin. It's more like a serum than ampoule and the packaging contains 100m which is an excellent product for such low price.

PRICE:
Jolse: $20,58/100ml ($0,21/1ml) Yesstyle: $27,90/100ml ($0,28/1ml) Peach&Lily: $29/100 ml ($0,29/1ml) ibuybeauti: $18,37/100ml ($0,18/1ml) BBCosmetic: $19,21/100ml ($0,19/1ml) TesterKorea: $41,47/100ml ($0,41/1ml) Average price: $0,26/1 ml

Vprove Ampoule Expert Propolis Skin Barrier Ampoule

Purified Water, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Glycereth-26, 1,2-Hexanediol, Betaine, Propolis Extract, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Carbomer, Tromethamine, Cetyl Hydroxyethylcellulose, Caprylyl Glycol, Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Gel, Allantoin, Panthenol, Xylitylglucoside, Anhydroxylitol, Beta-Glucan, Ethylhexylglycerin, Disodium EDTA, Xylitol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Red Ginseng Water, Phenoxyethanol
Vprove is a brand which is on my wishlist, I've tried one product, it was really nice and now I want to try more but Propolis Ampoule won't be the one I want to try next. Propolis Extract is quite low and adding Allantoin, Aloe Vera or Red Ginseng Water doesn't change my opinion about it.

PRICE:
Jolse (Currently not available): $17,83/30 ml ($0,59/1ml) Average price: $0,59/1 ml

propolis ampoules and serums Leegeehaam Grow Vita Propolis Ampoule It's Skin Power 10 Formula Propolis Effector iUnik Propolis Vitamin Synergy Serum

DAYCELL - Re,DNA Propolis Ampoule

Water, Glyceryl Polymethacrylate, Niacinamide, Propylene Glycol, Butylene Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Polyisobutene, PEG-7 Trimethylolpropane Coconut Ether, Sodium Hyaluronate, Althaea Rosea Flower Extract, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Phenoxyethanol, Disodium EDTA, Fragrance
My main question is where the hell is propolis here? It shouldn't be called a Propolis Ampoule if it doesn't contain any tiny bit of Propolis!!!

PRICE:
Yesstyle: $5,56/15ml ($0,37/1ml) Average price: $0,37/1 ml

SCINIC - Propolis Ampoule

Water, Glyceryl Acrylate/Acrylic Acid Copolymer, Glycerin, Propolis Extract, Methyl Gluceth-10, Niacinamide, Butylene Glycol, Polyglycerin-3, 1,2-Hexanediol, Hydroxyacetophenone, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Polyglyceryl-10 Laurate, Polyglyceryl-10 Myristate, Arginine, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Disodium EDTA, Panthenol, Centella Asiatica Leaf Extract, Ethylhexylglycerin, Madecassoside, Fragrance

Another product with many ingredients but first 4 ingredients are Propolis, Niacinamide, Royall Jelly Extract and Honey. It could be an interesting composition without Triethanolamine and Sweet Almond Oil but I would also tell it's more like a serum than ampoule.

PRICE:
Yesstyle: $17,01/30 ml ($0,57/1ml) TesterKorea: $13,89/30ml ($0,46/1ml) Average price: $0,52/1 ml

9wishes - Propolis 81% Concentrate Ampule

Propolis Extract, Glycerin, Glycosyl Trehalose, Butylene Glycol, Niacinamide, Dimethicone, Silica, 1,2-Hexanediol, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Sodium Polyacrylate, Allantoin, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Caprylyl Glycol, Sophora Flavescens Root Extract, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Houttuynia Cordata Extract, Perilla Frutescens Leaf Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Paeonia Suffruticosa Root Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Leaf Extract, Xanthan Gum, Carbomer, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Oil
This is an interesting ampoule because it has many ingredients, Propolis (81%) is still first but it contains some tiny ingredients like Niacinamide or Green Tea Extract that can be helpful. I would say it's a good serum with herbal ingredients.

PRICE:
Yesstyle: $22,90/30 ml ($0,76/1ml) BBCosmetic: $21/30 ml ($0,7/1ml) TesterKorea: $30,77/30ml ($1,03/1ml) Average price: $0,83/1 ml

W.Lab - Propolis Vital Energy Ampoule

Propolis is on a second place but this ampoule contains also Royal Jelly Extract, Bee Venom and Honey Extract. The ingredient list is quite long, it contains lots of natural extracts and some additional ingredients like Niacinamide or Licorice Root Extract.

PRICE:
Yesstyle: $20,90/30g ($0,70/1ml) Average price: $0,70/1 ml

Pureheals Propolis 90 Ampoule

Propolis Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Water, Niacinamide, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Sodium Polyacrylate, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Sodium Hyaluronate, 1,2-Hexanediol, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Butylene Glycol, Illicium Verum (Anise) Fruit Extract, Caprylyl Glycol, Honey Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Caramel, Rose Flower Oil, Tagetes Minuta Flower Oil, Mentha Arvensis Leaf Oil, Elettaria Cardamomum Seed Oil, Eugenia Caryophyllus (Clove) Leaf Oil, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, Vetiveria Zizanoides Root Oil, Cymbopogon Schoenanthus Oil, Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil
Another ampoule with many ingredients and Propolis on a first place. It also contains many ingredients that speed up wound healing and that should help with acne. I would also say this one is more like a serum than ampoule.

PRICE:
TesterKorea: $20,83/50ml ($0,42/1ml) Average price: $0,42/1 ml

propolis ampoules and serums Leegeehaam Grow Vita Propolis Ampoule It's Skin Power 10 Formula Propolis Effector iUnik Propolis Vitamin Synergy Serum

Which ampoule, serum or essence I would choose?

Obviously, you can get other products but I've selected the ones which you can get in the most popular online shops. TOSOWOONG Propolis Sparkle Ampoule is the cheapest one and the most expensive one is CNP Laboratory Propolis Energy Ampule. I wouldn't choose any of them but if I have to choose I'll go for:
Leegeehaam Grow Vita Propolis Ampoule - I've tried this ampoule, it helped me a lot and I even if it's one of the most expensive ampoules here I know what I'm paying for.
Skinfood Royal Honey Propolis Enrich Essence - for many people it's a HG and the price is really good as for an essence.
It's Skin Power 10 Formula Propolis Effector - maybe not the most affordable serum but its availability is a good thing, I can easily order it and get it in less than 24 hours in Europe.
Pureheals Propolis 90 Ampoule - another product which is available in Europe (maybe not as available as it's skin but better than some other products on this list). The formulation here is all about wound healing and acne and that's all I need to focus on.

How to use a propolis ampoule or propolis serum?

I usually use ampoule or serum after toner but always look at the formula - thicker formula will go after a lightweight product but most of the times you'll add such products after a toner. I also like to use propolis ampoule to give my face a glow effect - just simply tap a small amount of ampoule onto your skin - you can put it straight on your makeup to give yourself a natural glow but remember not every foundation will work with every ampoule.

I hope you've enjoyed this post. Let me know what do you think about propolis ampoules or serum and if you've ever tried any. Which one would you choose?

Also I've got a small info for you, lately Reissue posted a newsletter with my small beauty tips - you can see the whole info below, I'm also starting adding new board focused on routines, skin types and ingredients every week on Reissue - if you want to be notified when the new board is up or when the new post is uploaded or read more reviews or beauty tips which I post daily then check the links below:
