I've got combo skin and you know what's the worst with combo skin? Shiny t-zone. I'm aware that the glass skin is trendy now, naturally, I have glass skin too and I'm not talking about sebum but about natural glow but every time I wear makeup especially during the summer in couple hours I can see so much sebum on my face. I can tell you, a mattifying powder is oily/combo skin's best friend. Obviously, each powder works different but I feel like Lily Lolo Flawless Matte Powder is my new number one.
It has a simple formula
Kaolin, Mica
You're right! This product has only 2 ingredients - Kaolin and Mica. Kaolin is a White Clay, also called a China Clay. It's a pigment that absorbs the sebum. It's a safe ingredient - it's not comedogenic and it helps with skin to keep it clean. But it has one thing which might be problematic - it can be drying, so dry skin might have some problems with it but the oily skin will love this. Thanks to the Mica, the powder can reflect the light and make wrinkles less visible.
It doesn't contain nanoparticles but still, it feels lightweight
There's always lots of controversies about nanoparticles. There are always two camps of people - one, telling you that nanoparticles are bad for the skin and another one, telling you that nanoparticles aren't that bad. Personally, I think that this topic needs more researches and it'll take some time before we will know but according to Lily Lolo this product doesn't contain nanoparticles so if you're scared of them - you can feel safe about this product.
It's velvet in a touch
Even if Flawless Matte Powder doesn't contain nanoparticles it leaves this velvet and smooth feeling on the skin. I remember how I felt after the first use of it. I literally couldn't stop touching my skin - even if you shouldn't do that because your hands contain bad bacteria that can trigger your acne or make more mess on the skin - just because it never felt as good as after this powder. With or without nanoparticles this product is so tiny that covers the skin well.
It works for many hours
I've tried two different mineral powders before and this one is the longest lasting of them all! I feel like it stayed on my skin for 8 or even more hours, the shine is controlled well and even if you don't wear mineral foundation it can be used as a finishing powder with a non-mineral foundation as well.
It can be used as a makeup base
According to Costasy website, this product can be used as a makeup base. I haven't tried it so I won't tell you if it works or not but I believe that if you add a bit to your eyeshadows, then it'll stay longer.
It doesn't make fine lines more visible
Flawless Matte Powder contains Mica and this ingredient is used in makeup products because it reflects the light making the skin looks brighter but also it makes wrinkles and imperfections less visible.
It's cruelty-free!
This information is one of the best information ever - Lily Lolo is a cruelty-free brand! It's a good thing, especially that brands working on mineral makeup should focus on the environment.
My personal experience with Lily Lolo Flawless Matte Powder
I feel like this product will stay with me for a long time. There are 2 other mineral powders which I want to check in the future but I feel like it'll take a while to use the whole Lily Lolo Flawless Matte Powder and then try some new products. I also feel like I won't find any better mineral powder than this one. Do I recommend it? Totally!
Where to get it?
If you live in Poland you can get Lily Lolo Flawless Matte Powder from Costasy website, it costs 81,90 for 40ml, it's quite a lot of a product and that should be enough for a long time. In the moment when I publish this post you can find this powder with a small discount.
How do you like this product? Have you ever tried it before? What do you think about mineral makeup?
*** This post was made in collaboration with Costasy, even though it still shows my personal opinion on the topic and product***
