The serum doesn't have to be expensive to work. Affordable skincare products can be hard to find but it's not an impossible quest. Neulii is a quite unknown brand but affordable price and interesting ingredients will catch the eye of many customers. Neulii Cicapepta Repair Serum is a product that mix peptides and your all-time favourite ingredient - Centella. Can anything in this mix go wrong?
About Neulii
Neulii is not a popular brand, I barely see it on media or even at online stores but it got me with minimalism and Neulii BHA PHA 5.5 Peeling Pads which I've tried before. Thanks to RoseRoseShop I was able to try Neulii Cicapepta Repair Serum. I have to admit that my expectations were huge and this review will go bit different than you might expect.

One of the strongest points of Neulii - Design
Neulii didn't surprise me this time, I knew before that this brand is all about minimalism - not only outside but also inside. The packaging reminds me of the bottles which you can find in a drugstore or lab - the brown plastic that reminds of a glass bottle. It looks very elegant and professional.
Neulii Cicapepta Repair Serum - Texture and Scent
The texture is a nice transparent gel, it reminds me of aloe gel or some slime, it's not sticky but it's not a hydrating gel I'm used to. Still, I can't say anything bad about this texture but when it does to the scent - here we've got a problem because it smells to me like alcohol, I guess it's all thanks to Propanediol - alcohol which is a moisturizer and we don't want to avoid it.
What's inside Neulii Cicapepta Repair Serum? Neulii Cicapepta Repair Serum Ingredients
I'll go straight to the ingredients because they are really interesting
Water, Propanediol, Glycereth-26, 1,2-Hexanediol, Panthenol, Butane, Madecassoside, Asiaticoside, Centella Asiatica Leaf Extract, Methyl Trimethicone, Lecithin, sh-Oligopeptide-1, sh-Oligopeptide-2, Folic Acid, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Acetyl Glutamine, Carbomer, Pyrus Malus (Apple) Oil, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Aspalathus Linearis Extract, Euterpe Oleracea Fruit Extract, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Xanthan Gum, Tromethamine, Caprylyl Glycol, Disodium EDTA
Water is usually a base for a product, sometimes brands use floral water but usually, it's purified water. Glycereth-26 is a humectant and emollient, it gives the skin a smooth, delicate feeling. Panthenol is probably well known to you since it's a very common moisturizer and skin-protecting substance used in skincare. It's also known as Pro-Vitamin B5, this substance can help with wound healing, it can be used after sunburns or when your skin gets very sensitive.
Centella and all the forms of this precious ingredient
Centella has hidden in this formula in many different forms. First which we can spot is Madecassoside. What's amazing in Madecassoside? Similar to Centella, it's an antioxidant, it helps with wounds healing and makes skin smooth. It's useful in case of any inflammation because it has soothing properties. I swear you want this ingredient in your skincare products. Asiaticoside similar to Madecassoside is another antioxidant that helps with wound healing but Asiaticoside can promote collagen synthesis. Centella Asiatica Leaf Extract - won't surprise you, it's another antioxidant, speeds up the healing process and can be useful in many different skin problems including acne.
Peptides
Another "family" of the ingredients that Neulii serum is based on are peptides. The first peptide is sh-Oligopeptide-1 also known as Epidermal Growth Factor, an ingredient which is a bit controversial because even if it improves skin well, there are some problems with this ingredient that need more research. EGF stimulates cell growth that's why it improves your skin and wrinkles, it speeds up wound healing. But the problem with EGF is in... skin cancer. If EGF can stimulate cell growth then it can also stimulate cancerous cell growth as well, that's why EGF is controversial. Should you be scared of it? I always believe that if the ingredient is allowed to use then you shouldn't, in this case, if you didn't have skin cancer or no cancer history in your family - go for it. In my case, it's a bit complicated because I had skin change removed before and I used FGF before, the effects were really good, I tried other peptides and I loved them but regular check-ups are important no matter if anyone in your family had skin cancer or not - it's important to check your skin regularly. sh-Oligopeptide-2 is another peptide and this one is known as Insulin-like Growth Factor 1 or IGF and same as EGF it can be a life-changer if it comes to speeding up the healing process. Unfortunately, it shouldn't be used by people that had or have skin cancer.
What else we can find there?
Want more powerful ingredients? Here they are - Sodium Hyaluronate, an amazing humectant also known as Natural Moisturizing Factor. Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract - green tea extract, antioxidant with antibacterial properties, useful for both mature and oily/acne-prone skin. Pyrus Malus Fruit Extract aka Apple Fruit Extract, a humectant that can be a mild exfoliator (don't suspect too much from it). Aspalathus Linearis Extract is a Rooibos extract - you might know this one under the name Red Tea Extract, tea, in general, is good for your skin, even if Green Tea (depends on type) is probably the most powerful, Red Tea is used in skincare too. It's an antioxidant with antibacterial properties. Euterpe Oleracea Fruit Extract aka Acai Fruit Extract is an antioxidant.
Allergic reaction? How does Neulii Cicapepta Repair Serum work?
The formulation is quite interesting but can something go wrong here? Believe me, it can. Neulii Cicapepta Repair Serum is one of the most interesting affordable skincare serums but does it make any difference? I can't tell you because I got an allergic reaction to this serum and it's very surprising. My allergic reactions can be different - from having an upset stomach to dermographism and nervous system reactions. I had this problem 2nd or 3rd time, after using a product during the evening routine when I woke up I felt very stressed, it almost felt like a panic attack and I did nothing/didn't have any stress. How is it possible? Somehow it is, I had a similar problem with Aloe, what was the problem this time? I've tried all the ingredients in many different compositions and I never had this reaction, I would say Glycine Soja (Soybean) Extract since I can't eat soy unless it's fermented soy and previously I had reactions to soy oil in some skincare products but I take antihistamine so I shouldn't get any reaction. I don't know what to think about it, I can't say it's good or bad because I couldn't use it, I believe my good mood is more important than feeling stressed and nervous for a month just to see a result. I would recommend this serum after checking the ingredients but I can't tell you about the effects. It's a nice formula but as you can see not everyone will be able to use it.
Where to get Neulii Cicapepta Repair Serum
I'm sure you'll find many reviews from people that didn't have any allergic reactions but each body reacts differently to allergens so I would recommend checking a couple of reviews before you decide. 80 ml of Neulii Cicapepta Repair Serum costs $13.72 which is a good price, while I was writing this post it cost $9.60 on RoseRoseShop.
Have you ever tried any Neulii product?
