Kerasys Elegance&Sensual Shampoo and Kerasys Elegance&Sensual Conditioner

We all have huge skincare routines, some of us have large body care routines, but what about hair? I have to admit my hair routine is not that small because I dye my hair grey and I need to wash it with special solutions to keep my hair cold. This time I asked my family to try K-beauty haircare - Kerasys Elegance&Sensual Shampoo and Kerasys Elegance&Sensual Conditioner.

Why couldn't I test Kerasys Elegance&Sensual Shampoo and Kerasys Elegance&Sensual Conditioner?

My haircare story is quite long. I have very thin hair but the amount of hair on my head is largen than it should be. I dye my hair since I was 13 years old - it's quite a huge amount of time, but I do not like my natural hair colour. Since I remember my scalp is oily and sensitive, I got diagnosed with clogging hair follicles on my scalp that's why I use the scrub every day. Because of my sensitivity of the scalp, I wasn't able to test shampoo more than once since Kerasys Elegance&Sensual Shampoo has fragrance ingredients.

About the brand Kerasys

According to Kerasys Poland, AEKYUNG Industry Co Ltd is a mother brand of Kerasys. The company was developed in Seoul, South Korea in 1950. In 2002 the company released Kerasys haircare line. Kerasys is a brand that offers professional hair care for home use. I don't even remember when I saw Kerasys in Poland for the first time, it's still a new brand and it's not as common as Nivea or Garnier, but the price to amount ratio is really good. I knew this brand before it came to Poland, because of the perfumed hair oil.

Kerasys Elegance&Sensual Shampoo - Packaging

The packaging is not elegant and sensual like shampoo, but it's colourful and fun. A mix of white, purple and pink make it different from other shampoos on the shelf. Also, the bottle is bigger than regular shampoos which you can get in Poland.

Kerasys Elegance&Sensual Shampoo - Texture & Scent

Top notes: Apple Blossom, Iris, Peach
Middle notes: Tuberose, Ylang Ylang, Hyacinth
Base notes: Sandalwood, Rice Powder, Musk

The scent is rich, it's not a basic scent. If you like perfumes and you're interested in scents then it'll be a heaven for you because there are so many different scents mixed. I can't even figure out what does this scent reminds me of. It makes me a bit tired, to be honest. I'm not a scent person, I prefer neutral scents, but I have to admit - the scent stays on your hair for a long time. I might use it after a grill or bonfire to remove the smell of burned wood. The texture feels rich, like a typical shampoo

Kerasys Elegance&Sensual Shampoo - Ingredients

Let's give a look what's inside the Kerasys Elegance&Sensual Shampoo.

Aqua, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Parfum, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Sodium Chloride, Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate, Dimethicone, Laureth-23, Laureth-3, Xanthan Gum, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Benzoate, Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, Trihydroxystearin, Linoleamidopropyl PG-Dimonium chloride Phosphate, Propylene Glycol, Amodimethicone, Trideceth-10, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Titanium Dioxide, Cetyl Alcohol, Ammonium Chloride, Citric Acid

Water is an ingredient which you can find in almost every product, it's purpose in products is easy - it's a solvent. The next ingredient on the list is popular, but usually, this popularity is negative. Should it be negative? Sodium Laureth Sulfate aka SLES is a surfactant. It makes the foam when you add water to the shampoo, but you shouldn't mistake it with SLS. Cocamidopropyl Betaine is a surfactant too and many people love it. Parfum is a scent ingredient.

Is anyone surprised to see Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter in a shampoo? Shea butter is a natural butter made out of shea seeds. Shea butter has a wide range of use - people use it to prepare dishes, in medicine, but also cosmetics. It's an emollient which all skin types should love, but oily skin might have a tiny problem with it. It has a mild UV protection (around SPF 3) so it shouldn't be used as a sunscreen. It's great for dry skin and during the winter to protect the skin since it leaves a film on the surface of the skin. It's also a source of vitamins such as Vitamin E and Vitamin A. Vitellaria Paradoxa trees aka shea butter trees can be found in Africa that's why it is so important to use shea butter from brands with Fairtrade certification. Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil is another surprising ingredient in this product. Olea Europaea is an olive tree, the literal name means European Olive, and the name fits it well since it's a plant which you can find in the Mediterranean region of Europe, but there are other places where Olive can be found. Olive oil is a source of oleic acid (around 83%), linoleic acid and palmitic acid. It's a liquid oil with a long tradition. In skincare, it is used as antioxidant and emollient, it's a good moisturizer, but it can be a bit comedogenic. Still, it's an individual thing if an ingredient breaks you out or not - it can but it doesn't mean it will.

Our next ingredient should be well-known to you. Sodium Chloride is nothing else than a salt. Yes, the regular salt which you can find in the kitchen. It's a thickener. Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate is a surfactant and Dimethicone is a dry emollient. It's also a silicone that's why some people like to talk badly about Dimethicone just because of this fact, but there's no reason to be frightened. It gives your skin an occlusive film, but it doesn't suffocate your skin. We need occlusion to prevent water from TEWL (Transepidermal Water Loss) - to keep the skin moist. It protects your hair from dehydration and weather and it makes it easier to brush your hair. Dimethicone makes your skin and hair soft.

Laureth-23, Laureth-3 and Xanthan Gum are surfactants, with a tiny detail about Xanthan Gum - it works also as a thickener. Phenoxyethanol and Sodium Benzoate are preservatives - ingredients which we need to keep our product fresh and safe to use. Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride and Trihydroxystearin are thickeners. Linoleamidopropyl PG-Dimonium Chloride Phosphate makes your hair soft and smooth. You can love or hate Propylene Glycol. It's an alcohol, but not every alcohol is bad. Organic skincare companies usually are against it, while in fact, Propylene Glycol helps with transferring active ingredients through the skin, it's also a good moisturizer and solvent. Amodimethicone sounds very similar to Dimethicone, do you agree? It's a synthetic emollient, it has a positive meaning in haircare - it's a filmmaker, but it helps with brushing and straighten your hair. It's a bit hard to remove from the surface of the skin. Titanium Dioxide might be surprising to see in a shampoo, but it's not only a sun-protecting ingredient but also a colourant. Cetyl Alcohol is a fatty alcohol which is good alcohol. It's an emollient.

How does Kerasys Elegance&Sensual Shampoo work?

As I said before, my scalp condition didn't allow me to use this shampoo more than once and since it's a rare condition I'm not feeling okay with sharing how it worked for me, that's why I decided to share the opinion of my family, and I guess it's a good product since we already bought 4th bottle of this shampoo for my family. For my hair, this shampoo was too dry, but I dye my hair cold blonde shades so I damage my hair a lot, but for my dad who has to wash his hair every day - it's ideal. There's one thing he noticed - his hair started to grow faster than normal. The scent was too heavy for me. I'm sensitive to the scents. If your hair is oily, you might actually like this product.

Kerasys Elegance&Sensual Conditioner - Packaging

Similar to shampoo, the packaging is not elegant and sensual but it's colourful, fun and young people will love the design. The bottle is huge - a size which normally you won't find at the store.

Kerasys Elegance&Sensual Conditioner - Texture & Scent

I can't deny, Kerasys focus a lot on scent and that makes Kerasys products unique. Have you ever seen ant cosmetic brand using the same system as perfume brands? It's the first brand for me who uses top, middle and base notes to describe the scent of the product. If your nose is sensitive to scents, this composition might be too heavy, but the scent stays with you for a long time, so if the scent is not a problem for you then you'll love it. The texture is creamy and rich.

Kerasys Elegance&Sensual Conditioner - Ingredients

Aqua, Cetearyl Alcohol, Stearyl Alcohol, Dimethicone, Cyclopentasiloxane, Stearamidopropyl Dimethylamine, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Parfum, Ceteardimonium Chloride, Propylene Glycol, Glutamic Acid, Behentrimonium Chloride, Isopropyl Alcohol, Benzyl Alcohol, Amodimethicone, Trideceth-10, Phenoxyethanol, Ceteareth-20, Panthenyl Ethyl Ether, Panthenol, Behentrimonium Methosulfate, Cetyl Alcohol, Stearyl Alcohol, Dicaprylyl Carbonate

Lots of ingredients are similar like Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter or Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil. I'm sure we will find here something new too. Cetearyl Alcohol and Stearyl Alcohol are good types of alcohol. They are emollients with moisturizing properties. Cyclopentasiloxane has a similar situation to Dimethicone. People say negative things because they are silicones, but both of them are good light ones. Stearamidopropyl Dimethylamine is a surfactant.

Ceteardimonium Chloride is an antistatic substance. Glutamic Acid is an interesting ingredient here. It's an amino acid, and its main job is to moisturize the skin and hair. Behentrimonium Chloride is a preservative just like Phenoxyethanol and Benzyl Alcohol. Isopropyl Alcohol is a solvent. Panthenol is nothing else than Pro-vitamin B5, a soothing moisturizer with positive meaning to the skin barrier, but in this case, it's a good humectant for your hair. Behentrimonium Methosulfate and Stearyl Alcohol are surfactants and Dicaprylyl Carbonate is an emollient.

How does Kerasys Elegance&Sensual Conditioner work?

Knowing how Shampoo worked for me I decided not to test the conditioner on my hair, but my family keeps using the conditioner, and I didn't hear anything bad about this conditioner from them. Still, if I gave them a choice shampoo or conditioner, they would pick a shampoo.

Price & Where to get Kerasys Elegance&Sensual Shampoo and Kerasys Elegance&Sensual Conditioner?

I got this duo from Asiacare, both Kerasys Elegance&Sensual Shampoo and Kerasys Elegance&Sensual Conditioner normally cost 29.99 PLN on Asiacare, but now you can find them at a lower price like 22.49 PLN. Both bottles are 600 ml which is a great price for a huge amount.
