Kombucha is not a new ingredient in skincare - after all, it's one of the ingredients that strengthens our skins. Thanks to Bemused Korea I was able to try T'else products - a vegan-friendly brand from South Korea. Do you want to know if T'else Kombucha Teatox Essence, T'else Kombucha Teatox Ampoule or T'else Kombucha Teatox Cream fit your skin?
I always try to put lots of time into doing research for my posts, even if it includes translations from foreign languages - usually Korean. My language isn't the best, but in this case, I spend some time understanding T'eslse more. Especially the T'else website and Instagram accounts are full of information about the brand.
PS. I have to mention this post lacks in photos - thanks to popularity of reels I forgot to take photos, not only videos

The name T'else is a combination of the words tea and else. The tea here stands for pure tea and energy from it. Else is about clinically proven ingredients suitable for skin. The brand is vegan-friendly, and the products are free from artificial pigments and scent ingredients.
Why Kombucha?
According to T'else, Kombucha is a secret to detox and health. Kombucha is a fermented black or green tea. Kombucha is not only for your guts microbiome but for your skin microbiome too.
T'else Kombucha Teatox Essence - Packaging
T'else Kombucha Teatox Essence comes in a paper box, inside you can see a wonderful glass bottle with a sticker label. This solution makes the product easier to recycle. The bottle contains 150ml of the product. I love this tiny detail where you can put the date of opening on the product.
T'else Kombucha Teatox Essence - Texture & Scent
T'else Kombucha Teatox Essence is a liquid essence, the scent is quite delicate.
T'else Kombucha Teatox Essence - Ingredients
Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Saccharomyces Ferment Filtrate, Butylene Glycol, Dipropylene Glycol, Glycerin, Methyl Gluceth-20, 1,2-Hexanediol, Niacinamide, Pentylene Glycol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Hydroxypropyltrimonium Hyaluronate, Sodium Acetylated Hyaluronate, Bifida Ferment Filtrate, Lactobacillus Ferment, Lactobacillus Ferment Lysate, Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract, Polyglyceryl-10 Laurate, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Adenosine, Water/Aqua, Citric Acid, Arginine, Ethylhexylglycerin, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Oil, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil, Salvia Sclarea (Clary) Oil, Citrus Reticulata(Tangerine) Peel Extract, Cymbopogon Martini Oil
Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract is an antioxidant with enormous popularity and use. You can use it as a moisturizer for both dry and oily skin or as an acne treatment due to its antibacterial properties. Maybe you fight with wrinkles, and you need support? It's an antioxidant, and it can repair your skin after the damage made by UV light (since UVA is helping your skin in aging) and free radicals. Even sensitive skin is a fan of this soothing humectant. Saccharomyces Ferment Filtrate is what you get from the yeast fermentation process. It's a moisturizing and soothing formula that you can use with sensitive skin. Butylene Glycol is a common ingredient in products. It's not only a solvent. We use butylene glycol because it helps active ingredients penetrate, protects products from drying and moisturizes skin and hair. This ingredient can prevent hair loss and make your hair stronger. Dipropylene Glycol is a solvent with moisturizing properties. Glycerin or Glycerol is a humectant. Its origin can be natural or synthetic - depending on the product. It protects TEWL (transepidermal water loss) and naturally occurs in the skin. It's one of the NMFs - natural moisturizing factors. It's practical in haircare. Glycerin won't clog your skin or irritate it just the opposite - it protects your skin from irritation. Methyl Gluceth-20 is a synthetic humectant. 1,2-Hexanediol is a synthetic solvent and preservative - it protects products from microorganisms by boosting other preservatives. At the same time, it can moisturize the skin, and it has no unpleasant effects on your epidermis. Niacinamide is a form of vitamin B3 - a vitamin soluble in water. It helps with problems like wrinkles, acne, skin texture, and enlarged pores and promotes collagen synthesis. Niacinamide makes the skin barrier stronger. It might be handy in cellulite treatments. Do you want to fight pigmentation or uneven skin? Try to mix niacinamide with Kojic Acid, Arbutin, Vitamin C, Tranexamic Acid or Retinol. Pentylene Glycol is a humectant with antimicrobial properties. Sodium Hyaluronate is a salt form of a popular Natural Moisturizing Factor - Hyaluronic Acid. Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid is a low-weight humectant. It's a form of natural moisturizing factor that occurs in our skin - Hyaluronic Acid. The smaller the molecule is, the better it works. Hydroxypropyltrimonium Hyaluronate is a film-forming ingredient. Sodium Acetylated Hyaluronate is nothing else than another version of... If you thought about Hyaluronic Acid then you're right! It's another humectant in this formula.
Bifida Ferment Filtrate is a probiotic and a product of the fermentation process. Lactobacillus Ferment is an ingredient that a few years ago was a cult ingredient. Nowadays, I feel like its popularity decreased after people started to self-diagnose themselves with so-called fungal acne. If you think that your skin problem might be related to Malassezia then instead of self-diagnose, visit a dermatologist. It's a probiotic, ideal for sensitive skin, but it also helps with acne. It makes your skin barrier stronger. Calendula Officinalis Flower Extractor Marigold Extract is a plant, which in Europe we use as a herbal medicine herb. It's antioxidant and astringent with anti-inflammatory properties. Polyglyceryl-10 Laurate is a gentle surfactant. Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer is a carbomer's distant family. It works as a stabilizer and thickener. Adenosine naturally occurs in the skin. One of the adenosine's roles in our bodies is being a neurotransmitter. In skincare, we use adenosine for its anti-wrinkle properties. Adenosine is an anti-inflammatory ingredient. It can boost collagen production. At the same time, it speeds up the healing process. Adenosine can have positive effects on reducing redness. In hair care, adenosine can help with hair loss. Water hides in a cosmetic product under names such as Aqua or Eau. It's a solvent, but it's not your regular drinking water. Water in skin care needs to fit some standards. It should be clean and free from minerals, microorganisms or other substances. Usually, water makes up the majority of the content of the product. Citric acid is an AHA (alpha hydroxy acid) - a delicate exfoliant and a buffering ingredient. It adjusts the pH of the formula. Sodium Citrate neutralizes metal ions, but it also modifies the pH. Arginine is an amino acid. It helps with protein biosynthesis in adults. According to research from 1964, a lack of arginine might raise your chance to get an HSV infection. Ethylhexylglycerin is a preservative with subtle moisturizing and antimicrobial properties. Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Oil is an essential oil. It's a phototoxic substance that's why you shouldn't use it if you plan to sunbathe. I would recommend being careful with this substance during the summer. It might have a pleasant scent, but some people are allergic to it, and if you're pregnant - it's good to avoid it. Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil is an essential oil. It gives a pleasant scent to the product. Salvia Sclarea (Clary) Oil is an essential oil with antibacterial properties. Cymbopogon Martini Oil is another essential oil with antiseptic properties.
How does T'else Kombucha Teatox Essence work?
I tested T'else Kombucha Teatox Essence for the shortest time from all three products. T'else Kombucha Teatox Essence contains 74% of Kombucha, where is it? Kombucha is a fermented black or green tea, so there's no surprise why Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract takes first place in ingredients. There's also a triple Hyaluronic Acid - Sodium Hyaluronate, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid and Sodium Acetylated Hyaluronate. The mix of different versions of HA creates a great, moisturizing formula. I made some time ago a review of Wellage product where I wrote why different molecules of HA are good - higher molecules work as a film, lower ones go deeper and moisturize the skin. I feel like this essence should fit every skin type. It's not a sticky formula, and the bottle is huge! I read on one website that you're supposed to apply the essence on a cotton pad and then on the face. What I do is pour formula on my hands and tap it right after toner. You can also use some thinner pads - rayon pads and apply the product like a toner mask on the skin. Especially during warm summer, this solution is calming. That's how I like to use this essence. I can't say anything bad about it. There are some essential oils so before you use it - do a patch test since each skin reacts differently.
T'else Kombucha Teatox Ampoule - Packaging
T'else Kombucha Teatox Ampoule comes in a paper box, inside you can find a glamorous glass bottle with 30ml of product. The pipette functions with no objections. This product also has a sticker on the packaging to make it easier to recycle.
T'else Kombucha Teatox Ampoule - Texture & Scent
T'else Kombucha Teatox Ampoule has a delicate scent - there's no artificial scent, but the scent comes from oils used by T'else. The texture is lightweight but rich and it can be a bit tricky.

We use butylene glycol because it helps active ingredients penetrate, protects products from drying and moisturizes skin and hair. This ingredient can prevent hair loss and make your hair stronger. Propanediol is also known as natural glycol - an alternative for propylene glycol. Propanediol is a solvent with additional moisturizing properties. It makes the product smooth to touch. It can even improve the effectiveness of active ingredients. Glycerin or Glycerol is a humectant. Its origin can be natural or synthetic - depending on the product. It protects TEWL (transepidermal water loss) and naturally occurs in the skin. It's one of the NMFs - natural moisturizing factors. It's practical in haircare. Betaine is an amino acid. In skincare products, we use it for its moisturizing properties. Betaine keeps the water balance of the skin. It e wrinkles appear less visible, and it soothes irritated skin. In hair care, betaine doesn't only moisturize the hair. It makes hair soft and shiny. Betaine in cosmetics usually comes from sweet beetroots. It naturally occurs in skin and hair. Xanthan Gum is a thickener and stabilizer which you can find in food and skincare. Polyglyceryl-10 Laurate is a gentle surfactant. Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer is a carbomer's distant family. It works as a stabilizer and thickener. According to research from 1964, a lack of arginine might raise your chance to get an HSV infection. Ethylhexylglycerin is a preservative with subtle moisturizing and antimicrobial properties. Malt Extract has to protect properties. You probably know Melia Azadirachta Leaf Extract as Neem. It's a plant typical for India, Sri Lanka or Pakistan. Neem comes from Ayurveda, and it's told to have antiseptic, antibacterial and antifungal properties. We can also spot here Melia Azadirachta Flower Extract. Turmeric in products for acne skin is not a surprise for me, but what does Curcuma Longa (Turmeric) Root Extract do in other products? Turmeric has wide use in traditional medicine - not only Ayurveda but Chinese Traditional Medicine. It's an antioxidant with anti-inflammatory properties, that's why it works so good on acne. It might help with pigmentation, but if you have post-acne inflammation, then using soothing ingredients and substances that speed up wound healing helps with the redness left after acne. Ocimum Sanctum Leaf Extract aka Holy Basil is a source of eugenol, linalool, rosmarinic acid, oleanolic acid, ursolic acid, rosmarinic acid and more. It's another ingredient used in traditional medicine. In skincare products, Holy Basil has anti-inflammatory effects. Algae in beauty exist in many different forms. Corallina Officinalis Extract is an antioxidant and colourant. Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Oil is an essential oil. How does T'else Kombucha Teatox Ampoule work?
I have to admit, I have mixed feelings about T'else Kombucha Teatox Ampoule because I can't use this formula twice a day or even every single day because it's summer. My skin decided to act out during summertime because why not? In general, your pores should work better during summertime since warm weather makes sebum more liquid. This formula contains 60% of Kombucha (Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract), triple HA - just like in Essence, niacinamide and turmeric. It is a lightweight formula but the number of oils makes it rich, and my skin doesn't like rich formulas during this season. So if I use this ampoule twice a day every single day my acne goes wild. During the summertime, this ampoule is my "saver" during days when my skin feels super dry. And let's be honest when you test sunscreens, especially Japanese ones (they are always full of alcohol), your skin needs some additional help. Just like with essence - do a patch test, if your skin is oily then at least for me, this ampoule works better during colder months in my case.
T'else Kombucha Teatox Cream - Packaging
Not a surprise, T'else Kombucha Teatox Cream comes in a paper box, but inside you can see a glass jar with 50ml of formulas. It has a removable sticker for easier recycling.
T'else Kombucha Teatox Cream - Texture & Scent
The texture of T'else Kombucha Teatox Cream is awesome, it's a medium cream - not heavy, but the formula isn't gel. It's something in between, you can feel glycerin and oils in it. It's not a dry texture, it's rich. I feel like the Bemused Korea website describes it as the best "buttery gel-like cream". The scent is delicate.
T'else Kombucha Teatox Cream - Ingredients

Even sensitive skin is a fan of this soothing humectant. Saccharomyces Ferment Filtrate is what you get from the yeast fermentation process. It's a moisturizing and soothing formula that you can use with sensitive skin. Hydrogenated Polydecene or Alphaflow, it's an emollient, and it's excellent for sensitive skin. Butylene Glycol is a common ingredient in products. It's not only a solvent. We use butylene glycol because it helps active ingredients penetrate, protects products from drying and moisturizes skin and hair. This ingredient can prevent hair loss and make your hair stronger. Glycerin or Glycerol is a humectant. Its origin can be natural or synthetic - depending on the product. It protects TEWL (transepidermal water loss) and naturally occurs in the skin. Do you want to fight pigmentation or uneven skin? Try to mix niacinamide with Kojic Acid, Arbutin, Vitamin C, Tranexamic Acid or Retinol. Limnanthes Alba (Meadowfoam) Seed Oil is an interesting ingredient which I'm sure you probably didn't hear about before or didn't care about it at all. This oil is made in 9%5-98% of fatty acids with long chains made of 20 or 22 carbon atoms. What does that mean for us? This emollient is very stable, it's a source of vitamin A and E. Hydroxypropyl Starch Phosphate is a thickener. Cetearyl Alcohol is a fatty alcohol. In the beauty industry, it's an emollient. Many people associate alcohol with something awful for the epidermis, but not every alcohol is nasty. Cetearyl alcohol leaves a moisturizing film on the skin to prevent your skin from transepidermal water loss (TEWL). We use Cetearyl alcohol to create an emulsion. 1,2-Hexanediol is a synthetic solvent and preservative - it protects products from microorganisms by boosting other preservatives. At the same time, it can moisturize the skin, and it has no unpleasant effects on your epidermis.
Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter is a butter obtained from seeds of the Vitellaria paradoxa tree - a tree typical for Africa. It's an emollient rich in antioxidants like vitamin E or vitamin A. It's a source of oleic acid, stearic acid and linoleic acid. Shea butter is a well-moisturizing emollient that leaves a fine film on the skin and hair to protect from dehydration. It has soothing properties, and it might provide sun protection around SPF 2-4 (still, use proper sun-protecting agents instead of oils and butter for your safety). This ingredient is an excellent choice for dry skin and psoriasis. Shea butter hydrates hair and helps them look shinier. It's good to choose certified shea butter from a trusted source. Methyl Gluceth-20 is a synthetic humectant. Olivem 1000 is a combination of Cetearyl Olivate and Sorbitan Olivate. It's a natural emulsifier, and beauty companies use it to create an oil-in-water emulsion. Worth mentioning it's a biodegradable formula. Polyglyceryl-10 Stearate is an emulsifier. Sodium Hyaluronate is a salt form of a popular Natural Moisturizing Factor - Hyaluronic Acid. Sorbitan Stearate is an emulsifier. Hydrogenated Lecithin is lecithin after surgery - it works as an emollient, but it is also used to encapsulate the active substance in liposomes (since they are supposed to help the active substance penetrate the skin deeper). Coco-Caprylate/Caprate is an emollient. It's derived from coconut. It's a light emollient with smooth finishing, it makes the formula look elegant on the skin that's why you can see it mixed with pigments or sunscreen agents. Glyceryl Stearate is an ester of Glycerin and Stearic Acid. It's an emollient and emulsifier, and you can find it in oil in water formulas. It's a superb ingredient, but in some solutions, Glyceryl Stearate is problematic for me since it feels like it clogs my skin, but just because I'm not a fan of it, it doesn't mean your skin won't like it. Every skin is different. Triheptanoin is an emollient. Tocopherol is an antioxidant known as Vitamin E. It's an oil-soluble vitamin that fights free radicals and makes UVB protection and the natural lipid barrier stronger. It's good to mix it with vitamin C for better effects. Oily skin might react with pore-clogging to vitamin E. It is not true that vitamin E works as a preservative or helps with scars. Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer is a carbomer's distant family. It works as a stabilizer and thickener. C9-12 Alkane is a solvent. Euphorbia Cerifera(Candelilla) Wax is an oily emollient. Allantoin is a powerful ingredient in skincare, and I think we have all known it since the early days. My family didn't imagine my childhood without this cream. Allantoin derives from comfrey, and it has soothing properties, but it also speeds up the healing process, which makes it ideal for acne-prone skin and sensitive skin. You probably know Melia Azadirachta Leaf Extract as Neem. It's a plant typical for India, Sri Lanka or Pakistan. Neem comes from Ayurveda, and it's told to have antiseptic, antibacterial and antifungal properties. There's also Melia Azadirachta Flower Extract in this product.
Disodium EDTA neutralizes metal ions in the formula to keep products fresh. Biosaccharide Gum-1 is a product of sorbitol fermentation. It's a polysaccharide - nothing else than sugar, and sugar in skincare usually has moisturizing properties. Biosaccharide Gum-1 has also calming and soothing properties. You might want to use it with hyaluronic acid for longer and stronger hydration. Sorbitan Laurate is an emulsifier. Dipropylene Glycol is a solvent with moisturizing properties. Glyceryl Caprylate is an oily emollient and emulsifier. It derivates from plants, that's why it's Ecocert approves it. Sodium Levulinate is a natural preservative and pH adjuster. Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Oil - is an essential oil. It's a phototoxic substance that's why you shouldn't use it if you plan to sunbathe. I would recommend being careful with this substance during the summer. It might have a pleasant scent, but some people are allergic to it, and if you're pregnant - it's good to avoid it. Algae in beauty exist in many different forms. Corallina Officinalis Extract is an antioxidant and colourant. Hydroxyethylcellulose is a thickener. Acetyl Dipeptide-1 Cetyl Ester or Calmosensine. It's a lipopeptide with anti-wrinkle properties. It's an alternative to botox and other treatments that help your muscles relax. Sodium Acetylated Hyaluronate is nothing else than another version of... If you thought about Hyaluronic Acid then you're right! It's another humectant in this formula.
How does T'else Kombucha Teatox Cream work?
Similar to ampoule, T'else Kombucha Teatox Cream contains 60% of Kombucha extract and triple Hyaluronic Acid. If you follow me on Instagram, you probably know how much I like this product. At first, my relationship with T'else Kombucha Teatox Cream wasn't very promising. The same history as with ampoule - my skin during summer needs super light formulas, the lighter the better. The only problem is that this summer I went with light formula but it has some scent ingredients that caused me lots of redness. It ended up that I was testing a few samples and products in one or two weeks until I applied T'else Kombucha Teatox Cream. No, I don't use this cream every day, but when my skin has lots of acne and feels dry - T'else Kombucha Teatox Cream saves me. My skin reacts a lot to temperature, scents and irritating ingredients. I was surprised that T'else Kombucha Teatox Cream was able to deal with my redness and dryness of the skin. One application did a miracle. If you're this type of person who is busy and sometimes you forget about skincare - this cream is going to save you every single time your skin is so dry that it hurts. I swear T'else Kombucha Teatox Cream should be renamed "special saver" or something similar. There's no spatula inside the box, but I guess it sticks with the brand's pro-green strategy.
Where to buy T'else and how much does it cost?
I've tested all three products thanks to Bemused Korea. This store is the best website if you want to get eco-friendly, green, vegan and vegetarian-friendly formulas. The products are selected and the choice is unique. You can get each product separately or three products in a bundle. T'else Kombucha Teatox Essence costs currently $27/150ml, regular price is $36/150. T'else Kombucha Teatox Ampoule costs $25.50/30ml, while the regular price is $34. T'else Kombucha Teatox Cream costs $27 for 50ml, regular price is $36. The entire set T'else 3-Step Kombucha Routine right now costs $66.30, the regular price is $102.
To sum up, T'else is an interesting and unique brand. For me, T'else Kombucha Teatox Cream was the biggest surprise.
