AHC Ten Revolution Real Eye Cream for Face (Season 10)

It's this time of the year in which I introduce you to a new version of my favourite eye cream. Meet AHC Ten Revolution Real Eye Cream for Face (Season 10), a 2022 version of Korean cult eye cream or "Korea's National Eye Cream". Is Season 10 better than previous seasons? Why do I keep using AHC eye creams?

About the brand AHC

The name AHC stands for Aesthetic Hydration Cosmetics. According to AHC's website, the company started in 1999. The name of the brand is not random AHC makes skincare products similar to products used by aesthetics. It means that AHC makes professional products for personal use, it's nothing new since many aesthetic brands used at SPA have lines for personal use. If I have to compare the eye creams I use at home vs the eye creams I use during my internship as an esthetician - AHC is way better than pro eye creams. Eye Cream For Face is AHC's most popular product. One of the AHC ambassadors was Anne Hathaway. During the last few years actresses Kim Hye Soo and Jo Bo Ah in AHC commercials as well as actress Oh Yeon-Seo. Lately, Krystal Jung which you might recognize from girl group f(x) became AHC's ambassador. The last time I checked AHC sold 71 million eye creams, but according to amazing Odile Monod and her video review of this eye cream, AHC sold over 120 million eye creams. Right now thanks to Unilever, AHC is available globally. The acquisition of Carver Korea and AHC took a few years ago - in 2017. You have to remember that, even if Unilever is a big company available all over the world, AHC formulas in Korea and abroad are a bit different. I haven't tried non-Korean versions, but we will talk a bit about it later.

AHC Ten Revolution Real Eye Cream for Face (Season 10)

Do you need eye cream?

Some people believe that you don't need a special eye cream for your eye area. The skin around the eyes is thinner and more sensitive. There are some ingredients you shouldn't use near your eyes like AHA - you have to be very careful with AHA near the eye area, I put AHA only under my eyelid, but I try to be extra careful. Eyes have also different problems like puffiness, wrinkles, and dark circles - it doesn't mean that normal cream won't do anything about it, but sometimes it's better to choose a targetted product.

AHC Ten Revolution Real Eye Cream for Face (Season 10)

AHC Eye Cream For Face

The reason why this cream is called eye cream for the face is easy - AHC sells this cream as an eye cream, but they also recommend using their eye creams on areas where you can see wrinkles like the mouth or forehead. Right now AHC released 10 versions of eye creams. Season 1 - Real Eye Cream For Face is a firming product with EGF. Premium Real Eye Cream For Face is a season 2 version, this one brightens the skin. Season 3 Private Real Eye Cream For Face nourish the skin and Season 4 THE Real Eye Cream For Face is even better if it comes to hydration. The Pure Real Eye Cream For Face aka Season 5 which was my first AHC eye cream is a version for sensitive skin. I tried a version with that cute floral packaging made in collaboration with Marymond - you can read the full review on Kherblog. I didn't try Season 6 Ultimate Real Eye Cream For Face, this season is easily absorbed by the skin. Season 7 Ageless Real Eye Cream For Face contains biomimetic collagen, and it gets easily absorbed because the size of the formula is 1/300 of the pore size. What makes Season 8 Time Rewind Real Eye Cream For Face interesting is the number of peptides to increase the elasticity of the skin. Season 8 review is available on Kherblog, as well as season 9 - Youth Lasting Real Eye Cream For Face focused on 20s Biome AHC technology.

Before we start - remember that AHC creams are full of complex, we can only assume by looking at ingredients which complex AHC might use, but if the brand won't state it - you never know.

Hydrolyzed Collagen Extract is an extract obtained from hydrolyzed collagen. It's an anti-aging extract. Glycerin or Glycerol is a humectant. Its origin can be natural or synthetic - depending on the product. It protects TEWL (transepidermal water loss) and naturally occurs in the skin. It's one of the NMFs - natural moisturizing factors. It's practical in hair care. Glycerin won't clog your skin or irritate it just the opposite - it protects your skin from irritation. Dipropylene Glycol is a solvent with moisturizing properties. Bifida Ferment Lysate is a probiotic and a product of the fermentation process. Bifida Ferment Lysate strengthens the skin and its natural microbiome. Bifida ferment lysate can make sensitive skin secure and less susceptible to the negative influence of external factors. This ingredient can help fix the damage caused by UV radiation or fix damaged DNA. Hydrogenated Polydecene is an emollient that leaves a silky, delicate, non-occlusive film on the surface of the skin. This ingredient is ideal for sensitive skin. Cyclohexasiloxane is a volatile silicone and emollient. It makes the product easier to spread on the skin, and it protects the moisture in your skin by creating a gentle, non-greasy film on the surface of your epidermis. Cyclohexasilocane quickly evaporates from your skin. Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride is a combination of coconut oil and glycerin. It's a notable emollient, quite common in skincare. It leaves a protective film on the surface of the epidermis to save your cutis from dehydration. Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride has a significant role in skin care products - it makes the application process effortless. Some people might experience pore-clogging after using Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, but pore-clogging and skin reactions to ingredients are individual. What works for you might not work for someone else. Dicaprylyl Carbonate is a dry emollient. It prevents your skin from TEWL (transepidermal water loss) and makes your skin barrier stronger. It makes your skin velvet in touch. In hair care, Dicaprylyl Carbonate supports your hair condition from difficulties like exposure to cold and warm temperatures. It prevents hair from dryness. It can be used as a solvent or emulsifier. Water hides in cosmetic products under names such as Aqua or Eau. It's a solvent, but it's not your regular drinking water. Water in skin care needs to fit some standards. It should be clean and free from minerals, microorganisms or other substances. Usually, water makes up the majority of the content of the product. Niacinamide is a form of vitamin B3 - a vitamin soluble in water. It helps with problems like wrinkles, acne, skin texture, and enlarged pores and promotes collagen synthesis. Niacinamide makes the skin barrier stronger. It might be handy in cellulite treatments. Do you want to fight pigmentation or uneven skin? Try to mix niacinamide with Kojic Acid, Arbutin, Vitamin C, Tranexamic Acid or Retinol.

AHC Ten Revolution Real Eye Cream for Face (Season 10)

Caprylic/Capric/Succinic Triglyceride is an emollient. Cetearyl Alcohol is a fatty alcohol. In the beauty industry, it's an emollient. Many people associate alcohol with something awful for the epidermis, but not every alcohol is nasty. Cetearyl alcohol leaves a moisturizing film on the skin to prevent your skin from transepidermal water loss (TEWL). We use Cetearyl alcohol to create an emulsion. 1,2-Hexanediol is a synthetic solvent and preservative - it protects products from microorganisms by boosting other preservatives. At the same time, it can moisturize the skin, and it has no unpleasant effects on your epidermis. Glyceryl Stearate SE is an emollient. SE in the name stands for self-emulsifying. Pentaerythrityl Stearate/Caprate/Caprylate/Adipate is an emollient. Cetyl Alcohol might sound scary, but it's a positive for the skin fatty alcohol. It helps with moisture, and it's a marvellous emollient. It leaves a film on the skin to prevent TEWL (transepidermal water loss). Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter is a butter obtained from seeds of the Vitellaria paradoxa tree - a tree typical for Africa. It's an emollient rich in antioxidants like vitamin E or vitamin A. It's a source of oleic acid, stearic acid and linoleic acid. Shea butter is a well-moisturizing emollient that leaves a fine film on the skin and hair to protect from dehydration. It has soothing properties, and it might provide sun protection around SPF 2-4 (still, use proper sun-protecting agents instead of oils and butter for your safety). This ingredient is an excellent choice for dry skin and psoriasis. Shea butter hydrates hair and helps them look shinier. It's good to choose certified shea butter from a trusted source. Betaine is an amino acid. In skincare products, we use it for its moisturizing properties. Betaine keeps the water balance of the skin. It makes wrinkles appear less visible, and it soothes irritated skin. In hair care, betaine doesn't only moisturize the hair. It makes hair soft and shiny. Betaine in cosmetics usually comes from sweet beetroots. It naturally occurs in the skin and hair. Phellodendron Amurense Bark Extract or Amur Cork Tree Bark Extract is a source of flavonoids, saponins and kaempferol. Its other name is also Oubaku Ekisu. This ingredient is known in traditional medicine in Asian countries, It's an antioxidant with antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract is an antioxidant - it fights free radicals and fixes the damage. Green tea is a source of many positive skin substances such as catechins (EGCG, EGC, EC, CG), flavonoids, amino acids, vitamin C, and minerals. It works for all skin types. Since it has antibacterial properties, many products for young, acne-prone skin contain this ingredient. It has soothing properties, and it's good to use it along with sunscreen to boost the protection of your skin.

AHC Ten Revolution Real Eye Cream for Face (Season 10)

Centella Asiatica Extract is probably the most popular extract in skincare. It comes under a few names - Asiatic pennywort, tiger grass or Gotu kola. Centella Asiatica's roots are in Ayurveda. This extract is successful because it's a source of triterpene saponins - madecassoside and asiaticoside. Centella Asiatica Extract has anti-inflammatory properties. It speeds up the wound-healing process. You can use it to treat acne since it has soothing and antibacterial properties. It boosts fibroblasts to produce collagen and elastin or even helps with hyaluronic acid synthesis. Centella is recommended for rosacea and cellulitis since it helps with blood microcirculation. In hair care, Centella can help with hair growth. Ficus Carica (Fig) Fruit Extract is a source of vitamins C, B1, B2 and B6. It's an antioxidant and it's supposed to support collagen synthesis. Fig contains substances that might make your skin sensitive to sunlight so always remember to use sunscreen when you use Fig Fruit Extract. Dioscorea Japonica Root Extract or Japanese Mountain Yam Root Extract is a source of ascorbic acid, tannin, iron, niacin, riboflavin and zinc. Oryza Sativa (Rice) Extract is a source of proteins, vitamins like vitamin E and minerals like potassium. It's a rich antioxidant with antiseptic and anti-aging properties. Rice Extract has positive effects on hair. Aloe is a common ingredient in beauty products. Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract has moisturizing properties. Aloe pulp contains over 95-99% of water. Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract can be helpful after sunburns, sun exposure, acne, and sensitive skin. Pseudoalteromonas Ferment Extract or Antarcticine is a ferment isolated from the mud found on King George Island in Antarctica. It's a strong humectant that protects skin from dryness and redness. It speeds up the healing process and helps with aging since it can boost the production of collagen and elastin. It also helps maintain acne-prone skin by reducing sebum production and making pores look less visible. Spilanthes Acmella Extract is a source of spilanthol. This plant is called the "toothache plant" since in India it's a folk remedy for toothache. This ingredient has antibacterial and antiseptic properties. It speeds up the wound healing process and helps with skin elasticity and wrinkles. Some people call this ingredient "herbal botox". Gossypium Herbaceum (Cotton) Seed Extract is a source of flavonoids. It has soothing properties. Solanum Lycopersicum (Tomato) Fruit Extract is a source of the powerful antioxidant - lycopene. It has antiaging properties, it also reduces redness and might lighten dark spots on the skin.

Coconut oil has very weak UV protection properties, but it doesn't mean that you can use it instead of sunscreen. Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil is an oily emollient. It's a source of oleic and palmitoleic acid as well as vitamins A and E. Macadamia Oil is a phenomenal choice for sensitive and dry skin. In hair care, this ingredient can help with dry and fragile hair. Sodium Hyaluronate or sodium salt of hyaluronic acid. It's a form of hyaluronic acid and naturally occurs in the skin. Sodium Hyaluronate has strong water-binding properties. Sodium hyaluronate combined with elastin and collagen is like a scaffolding for the skin. It has hydrating properties and leaves a hydrating film on the skin, but sodium hyaluronate prevents skincare products from drying. Soluble Collagen is a protein. Collagen usually leaves a moisturizing film on the skin since collagen molecules are quite big. Some people believe that collagen in skin care products will automatically boost the amount of collagen in your skin, but it's not how it works. Soluble collagen helps with the moisture of the skin by preventing TEWL (transepidermal water loss). This ingredient is not cruelty-free since it's usually derived from fish or cows.

AHC Ten Revolution Real Eye Cream for Face (Season 10)

Polyglyceryl-10 Stearate is an emulsifier with moisturizing properties. Butylene Glycol is a common ingredient in products. It's not only a solvent. We use butylene glycol because it helps with the penetration of active ingredients, protects products from drying and moisturizes skin and hair. This ingredient can prevent hair loss and make your hair stronger. Candida Bombicola/Glucose/Methyl Rapeseedate Ferment moderates sebum production and has antimicrobial properties. Hydrogenated Polyisobutene is an emollient. It's a synthetic substitute for squalane. It leaves a delicate film on the skin, it prevents the skin from dehydration. AHC Ten Revolution Real Eye Cream for Face (Season 10)

Hydrogenated Starch Hydrolysate has moisturizing properties. It prevents dehydration of the skin and hair and makes them soft. It's also a good emulsifier. Xanthan Gum is a polysaccharide that works as a thickener. Adenosine naturally occurs in the skin. One of the adenosine's roles in our bodies is being a neurotransmitter. Micrococcus Ferment Lysate is an antioxidant. It prevents your skin from free radicals and the damage caused by them. Sorbitan Isostearate is an emulsifier. Lecithin is an emollient and oil-in-water emulsifier, but it has other use in skin care - you can use it to encapsulate active ingredients in liposomes. Encapsulation of active ingredients makes it easier to deliver them to the deeper layers of your skin. It boosts your lipid barrier and makes it stronger. Propanediol is also known as natural glycol - an alternative to propylene glycol. Propanediol is a solvent with additional moisturizing properties. It makes the product smooth to the touch. It can even improve the effectiveness of active ingredients. Ceramides naturally occur in the skin - it's like cement in the skin. Ceramide NP strengthens the skin barrier to prevent dehydration. Polyquaternium-51 is a synthetic humectant. Sodium Laurate is a delicate surfactant. Inulin Lauryl Carbamate is an emulsifier. Lauric Acid is a fatty acid, it has antibacterial properties. It's an ingredient which you can find in products for wrinkles and pigmentation since this vitamin can help with both. Vitamin B12 is important for hair as well - it might help with dandruff, hair loss and hair breakage. Tromethamine is a synthetic pH adjuster. Potassium Cetyl Phosphate is a surfactant and emulsifier for oil-in-water formulas. Potassium Cetyl Phosphate is quite common in SPF formulas since it makes sunscreen more water-resistant. Hydrolyzed Collagen is a humectant with a smaller molecular weight than Collagen. It binds water to prevent TEWL (transepidermal water loss). It makes hair easier to detangle. Tocopheryl Acetate is a form of Vitamin E, Tocopherol. It's an antioxidant that helps with skin & hair hydration and prevents TEWL (transepidermal water loss). This ester form of Tocopherol is more stable, but it's not as effective. Some people consider it a preservative, but Vitamin E should be used as a preservative. It's good to mix it with Vitamin C and Ferulic Acid.

Biosaccharide Gum-1 is a product of sorbitol fermentation. It's a polysaccharide - nothing else than sugar, and sugar in skincare usually has moisturizing properties. Biosaccharide Gum-1 has also calming and soothing properties. You might want to use it with hyaluronic acid for longer and stronger hydration. Aquaxyl is a mix of three ingredients Xylitylglucoside, Anhydroxylitol and Xylitol. This complex boosts skin hydration. Schizosaccharomyces Ferment Filtrate is a product of fermentation, this ingredient has moisturizing properties. Cocoyl Hydrolyzed Collagen is an antistatic surfactant. It might not be the best choice for acne-prone skin since it's a long-lasting ingredient. Glycolipid is a lipid that prevents TEWL and strengthens your skin barrier. Sorbitan Laurate is a water-in-oil emulsifier. Glucose is a monosaccharide - a simple sugar, and we all know that sugars in skincare are nothing else than humectants. Capryloyl Glycine is a synthetic substance related to an amino acid. It has antibacterial properties, it helps with acne-prone skin by moderating sebum production. It stimulates collagen production which makes it a good anti-ageing ingredient. It's a delicate emollient that can help with dandruff. Potassium Cocoyl Hydrolyzed Collagen is a surfactant. Maltodextrin is a stabilizing ingredient that can hydrate your skin and absorb sebum. Hexylene Glycol is an emulsifier. Squalane is an ingredient very similar to our sebum. Squalane and squalene sound similar, but there's a difference. Squalane has no double bonds while squalene has double bonds. What does it mean? Squalane is a more stable version of squalene. What I love about this ingredient is how well it works with all skin types, and how our skin needs it. Believe me, if your skin is irritated - go for squalane! This ingredient is usually derived from sugarcane or olives. It acts like an emollient and you need it in your life. Ascorbyl Propyl Hyaluronate just as the name says is related to Ascorbyl Acid and Hyaluronic Acid. This ingredient might be an antioxidant with great anti-aging properties. Hydroxyethylcellulose is a thickener and it creates a protective film on the skin. Hydrolyzed Lupine Protein is rich in peptides. Collagen is a big moisturizing molecule that leaves a film on the surface of the skin. It's an ingredient that naturally occurs in our skin. Collagen is made of amino acids. In our skin, we can find collagen types I and III. Collagen can't penetrate your skin, but it makes your skin barrier stronger and it can make wrinkles less visible visually. Ethyl Ascorbyl Ether or 3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid is a form of Vitamin C. This form is very stable in both oil and water. It's an antioxidant and skin-brightening ingredient. It stimulates collagen (type I and III) and elastin production. Ethyl Ascorbyl Ether helps with PIE & PIH pigmentation - this form shows the best effects on pigmentation and post-UV-exposure skin discolouration. It's better to use Vitamin C during the morning routine because it boosts the efficiency of sunscreen. We consider Ethyl Ascorbic Acid is the most stable form of vitamin C in skin care, and this version is suitable for sensitive skin. It's good to mix it with niacinamide and vitamin E. This form has weak points - it's the most expensive form of vitamin C.

AHC Ten Revolution Real Eye Cream for Face (Season 10)

It has antistatic properties which makes it a phenomenal ingredient for both - skin and hair. Mannitol is a sugar, and sugars in skincare have moisturizing properties. Lactic Acid is an alpha hydroxy acid. It's a natural moisturizing factor with exfoliating properties - the proper pH and concentration of this peel have an important meaning in how it will act on the skin. Lactic Acid is gentler than Glycolic Acid due to the bigger molecular size of the Lactic Acid molecule. We have to remember that not every molecule can get through the skin surface and lower molecule HA can penetrate the skin deeper and bring moisture inside the skin. It's a natural polymer that binds water in the skin to prevent TEWL (transepidermal water loss). Hydrolyzed Sodium Hyaluronate or miniHA is a Sodium Hyaluronate in a very low molecule (below 500 Da). This ingredient is a cousin of Hyaluronic Acid, it can have positive effects on the moisture of the skin since the small molecule can easily penetrate the skin. The problem is in the size of the molecule - smaller molecules can be better, but there's also a risk that they might cause inflammation.

Lots of brands and media did a great job marketing this substance. That's why you can spot it with names such as Botox-like peptides or treatments. It won't give you the same effects as botox, but there are some similarities. Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 can help with wrinkles by decreasing the visibility of wrinkles and fine lines created by repetitive movements of muscles. Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 inhibits SNARE complex and catecholamine release. It can stimulate collagen synthesis, and it has powerful, water-binding properties. That's why acetyl hexapeptide-8 might increase the moisture of the skin. It's better to use this peptide near the eye area to prevent fine lines in the eye area. Unless you have drooping eyelids, then the use of acetyl hexapeptide-8 is not recommended for you. That's why it's a stable substance but not as effective and it's way delicate so it might be a good way to start your retinol journey. It makes your skin more radiant and helps with pigmentation, it makes wrinkles less visible and it can help with pore care, especially sebum production. Biotin is also called Vitamin B7 or even Vitamin H. We mostly associate biotin with hair and nail conditions since biotin boosts keratin production. It helps with the moisture of skin and hair. Ascorbic Acid is an antioxidant that stimulates collagen (type I and III) and elastin production. It helps with pigmentation - both PIE & PIH. It is better to use vitamin C during the morning routine because it boosts the efficiency of sunscreen. Ascorbic Acid can fix what free radicals destroy. Brands recommend mixing ascorbic acid with ferulic acid and vitamin E. Vitamin C has a cardinal role in strengthening the blood vessels and boosting wound healing. AHC Ten Revolution Real Eye Cream for Face (Season 10)

How does AHC Ten Revolution Real Eye Cream for Face (Season 10) work?

Reviewing AHC eye creams is hard. Can you believe I'm lasting my 3rd tube of this cream? Yes, it took me 3 tubes to write this review, because even if daily I need to analyse products for my studies (cosmetology in my country is not the same as in the US, it's more about aesthetic cosmetology, beauty treatments and products). The main difficulty is not the number of ingredients, but how ahead AHC is! The technology AHC uses is quite ahead, in my opinion, you won't find any 2nd product like this in Europe. We have good creams and serums for the eye area like Lancome which I bought last year or Estee Lauder, but AHC makes me research a topic more than I research stuff for my trichology thesis. AHC Eye Cream For Face is manufactured by Kolmar Korea - a company which you heard a lot about when people are talking about sunscreens. It has sense why AHC eye creams are always up-to-date with the latest technologies.

AHC Ten Revolution Real Eye Cream for Face (Season 10)

AHC Ten Revolution Real Eye Cream for Face (Season 10) is based on HumaColl21 - I guess 21 stands for XXI human type collagen that boosts collagen types I and III synthesis. Geltor is a company that stands behind HumaColl21 - a biomimetic vegan collagen which Kolmar used in AHC Eye Cream For Face Season 10. I feel like Odile said it in the best way - this ingredient is recognised by skin like it's your own. Surprise? I was!

According to AHC, ingredients are 1/1000 size of the pore size. Just to mention, according to AHC, Season 9 ingredients were 1/500 size of the pore size, so Ten Revolution Real Eye Cream for Face is supposed to penetrate the skin even better. According to AHC, AHC Ten Revolution Real Eye Cream for Face (Season 10) contains 84 types of proteins, 16 vitamins, 11 types of hyaluronic acid and 10 types of collagen. It also contains human stem cells, 50 peptides, 10 growth factors and retinyl palmitate. This cream went through 76 clinical trials! AHC also used liposomes - companies are closing active ingredients in liposomes to make them penetrate deeper and work in deeper layers of the skin.

AHC Ten Revolution Real Eye Cream for Face (Season 10)

When AHC released AHC Ten Revolution Real Eye Cream for Face (Season 10) the promotional slogan was "Be The EyeCon". In general, AHC confused lots of people with many versions of season 10 including a change of aesthetic of seasons 10 and 9 in the last month. We had a red version of AHC Ten Revolution Real Eye Cream for Face (Season 10) with Aiki - a Korean dancer and choreographer. At the same time, AHC released a Tension Eye Cream Stick For Face which I wanted to test along with eye cream, but I couldn't bring it to Europe at an affordable price. Although many of the products you see on Kherblog and my social media like Instagram are coming from collaborations with brands and shops, there's still a part of products I buy on my own and usually, such products are the ones from my wishlist. Back to AHC, another version - Paris Fantaisie Edition was created in collaboration with L'Escape Hotel - a 5-star Korean hotel, since this hotel fits the Parisian aesthetic, it has sense why the packaging was so fancy! The next version was Green Festival Edition which in my opinion was super pretty. This edition was a celebration of AHC Eye Creams being called the No. 1 Eye Creams in Korea for 5 years in a row, but also to celebrate summer. Then we had Royal Cell Edition Eye Cream and this version was available in Chuseok gift sets. AHC also released a homme version of eye cream lately - a version for men.

I tried a few seasons of AHC Eye Creams and AHC Ten Revolution Real Eye Cream for Face (Season 10) is the best season so far! Even my mom keeps stealing my eye cream. I'm in my late 20's, my eye area is super sensitive and many eye creams are not for me, but AHC Ten Revolution Real Eye Cream for Face (Season 10) does a phenomenal job since people still believe I might be 10 years younger or even more. I don't get enough sleep, I work in front of the computer and I swear without AHC Eye Creams my eyes wouldn't look the same. This cream doesn't cause me any milia or skin sensitivity, I even feel like after I started to use AHC Eye Creams I have fewer problems with the eye area which in my case is super sensitive and problematic.

In 5 days AHC is going to release season 9 of its cult eye cream and I do plan to buy it because AHC keeps proving to me that it's worth it to keep using the same eye cream. AHC Eye Creams and AHC Ten Revolution Real Eye Cream for Face (Season 10) is so far the best in my opinion and if you want to buy someone a gift that works - go for it, if you're in your early 20's and want to take care of your eyes, it's also a good choice for you.
