Rovectin Clean Forever Young Biome Ampoule

Lots of people met fermented skincare thanks to Kbeauty. The ferment skincare trend led us to better care of skin microbiome. Rovectin Clean Forever Young Biome Ampoule is here to take care of your skin barrier.

About Rovectin

Rovectin is a South Korean brand, but the name Rovectin comes from the Latin word "reverti" which in the brand's view means "to return to where it was". Rovectin was created for cancer patients, but Rovectin has an even deeper story. It's a story of siblings - a brother who wanted to help his sister during her chemotherapy. Rovectin products are good for sensitive skin, they are all cruelty-free and free from many sensitizing ingredients.

Rovectin Clean Forever Young Biome Ampoule - Packaging

I said that before - Rovectin is amazing if it comes to minimalistic design that fits the brand. You see, every product created by Rovectin has this minimalistic packaging. I associate this brand with white, black and turquoise colours, even if I think the cica line has some magenta details - by the way, it's a clever colour if you use a printer since it's a basic shade for printers. This time we get Rovectin Clean Forever Young Biome Ampoule in a deep blue shade. Rovectin always adds super cute stickers, and obviously, my mom thought I'd decided to try this brand because of the bunny sticker and she's kinda right, once again I got a specific look from her because she knows I'm obsessed with rabbits - like a typical bun mom.

Rovectin Clean Forever Young Biome Ampoule - Texture & Scent

It's not a transparent or milky gel-like texture but something in between. It's super moisturizing. I don't smell any specific scent in this one.

Rovectin Clean Forever Young Biome Ampoule - Ingredients

Water hides in cosmetic products under names such as Aqua or Eau. It's a solvent, but it's not your regular drinking water. Water in skin care needs to fit some standards. It should be clean and free from minerals, microorganisms or other substances. Usually, water makes up the majority of the content of the product. Lactobacillus Ferment is a probiotic with a positive effect on the microbiome of the skin. This soothing ingredient can moderate sebum production and help with acne since it has anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties. Propanediol is also known as natural glycol - an alternative to propylene glycol. Propanediol is a solvent with additional moisturizing properties. It makes the product smooth to the touch. It can even improve the effectiveness of active ingredients. Butylene Glycol is a common ingredient in products. It's not only a solvent. We use butylene glycol because it helps with the penetration of active ingredients, protects products from drying and moisturizes skin and hair. This ingredient can prevent hair loss and make your hair stronger. Glycerin or Glycerol is a humectant. Its origin can be natural or synthetic - depending on the product. It protects TEWL (transepidermal water loss) and naturally occurs in the skin. It's one of the NMFs - natural moisturizing factors. It's practical in hair care. Glycerin won't clog your skin or irritate it just the opposite - it protects your skin from irritation. Glycereth-26 is a synthetic emollient and humectant. Even the name reminds us of glycerin - it's not a surprise since Glycereth-26 is related to glycerin. It has thickening properties. Niacinamide is a form of vitamin B3 - a vitamin soluble in water. It helps with problems like wrinkles, acne, skin texture, and enlarged pores and promotes collagen synthesis. Niacinamide makes the skin barrier stronger. It might be handy in cellulite treatments. Do you want to fight pigmentation or uneven skin? Try to mix niacinamide with Kojic Acid, Arbutin, Vitamin C, Tranexamic Acid or Retinol. 1,2-Hexanediol is a synthetic solvent and preservative - it protects products from microorganisms by boosting other preservatives. At the same time, it can moisturize the skin, and it has no unpleasant effects on your epidermis. Lactobacillus/Soybean Ferment Extract is a probiotic. It's derived through soy fermentation with the use of Lactobacillus. It has soothing properties. Bifida Ferment Lysate is a probiotic and a product of the fermentation process. Bifida Ferment Lysate strengthens the skin and its natural microbiome. Bifida ferment lysate can make sensitive skin secure and less susceptible to the negative influence of external factors. This ingredient can help fix the damage caused by UV radiation or fix damaged DNA. Lactobacillus Ferment Lysate is a probiotic. A few years ago ferments became a thing in skincare because they are amazing for sensitive skin. Lactobacillus Ferment Lysate has soothing properties, it supports the microbiome of the skin.

Anastatica Hierochuntica Extract is an extract obtained from the rose of Jericho. It's an antioxidant and soothing ingredient, rich in quercetin. Solanum Melongena (Eggplant) Fruit Extract is an antioxidant. Xylose is a sugar, and as we know sugars work as humectants in skincare. This ingredient is also common in products that protect from temperature. Sucrose is nothing else than sugar, and what do sugars do in cosmetics? They moisturize! Panthenol is a humectant. It prevents skin from TEWL (Transepidermal Water Loss). Panthenol is also known as vitamin B5, and it helps with inflammation. Panthenol can soothe the skin irritated by preservatives, scent ingredients, and chemical sunscreens - it might have a meaning for lipids in our skin and skin barrier. It speeds up the healing process. It's good to use it after sunbathing. In hair care, Panthenol has moisturizing properties. If you have problems detangling your hair or hair growth go for Panthenol. It is good to mix it with niacinamide and zinc oxide. You can see it in products for atopic dermatitis or psoriasis. Adenosine naturally occurs in the skin. One of the adenosine's roles in our bodies is being a neurotransmitter. In skin care, we use adenosine for its anti-wrinkle properties. Adenosine is an anti-inflammatory ingredient. It can boost collagen production. At the same time, it speeds up the healing process. Adenosine can have positive effects on reducing redness. In hair care, adenosine can help with hair loss. Biosaccharide Gum-1 is a product of sorbitol fermentation. It's a polysaccharide - nothing else than sugar, and sugar in skincare usually has moisturizing properties. Biosaccharide Gum-1 has also calming and soothing properties. You might want to use it with hyaluronic acid for longer and stronger hydration. Tromethamine is a synthetic pH adjuster. Hydrogenated Lecithin is a version of lecithin. It works as an emollient in the formulas. Sodium Phytate is a chelating agent derived from corn. It neutralizes the ions in the products to make sure your product stays a fresh bit longer. Tocopherol is an antioxidant known as Vitamin E. It's an oil-soluble vitamin that fights free radicals and makes UVB protection and natural lipid barrier stronger. It's good to mix it with vitamin C for better effects. Oily skin might react with pore-clogging to vitamin E. It is not true that vitamin E works as a preservative or helps with scars. Ammonium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate/VP Copolymer is a polymer with thickening properties. Polyglyceryl-10 Laurate is an emulsifier. Diphenyl Dimethicone is an emulsifier. Triethylhexanoin is an ingredient related to glycerin and fatty acids. It works as an emollient. Ethylhexylglycerin is a preservative with subtle moisturizing and antimicrobial properties. Fructooligosaccharides are prebiotics. They nourish the skin and help the microbiome. Xanthan Gum is a polysaccharide that works as a thickener. Carbomer is a synthetic thickener. Citric acid is an AHA (alpha hydroxy acid) - a delicate exfoliant and a buffering ingredient. It adjusts the pH of the formula. Sodium Citrate neutralizes metal ions, but it also adjusts the pH. Disodium EDTA neutralizes metal ions in the formula to keep products fresh.

How does Rovectin Clean Forever Young Biome Ampoule work?

Let's focus on what we can find in Rovectin Clean Forever Young Biome Ampoule. This wonderful ampoule contains a 7-layer Dualbiotic (Prebiotics and Probiotics) Complex - I believe in this case we talk about Lactobacillus Ferment, Lactobacillus/Soybean Ferment Extract, Bifida Ferment Lysate, Lactobacillus Ferment Lysate, Lactococcus Ferment Lysate, Xylose and Fructooligosaccharides. I kinda thought that maybe Anastatica Hierochuntica Extract and Biosaccharide Gum-1 will be in this complex, but no. I adore fermented ingredients in skincare since the fermentation process makes molecules of ingredients smaller to make them go through skin layers easier. The penetration of ingredients into the skin is limited, but still more effective than using big chunks of some ingredients.

The brand promotes this serum as one that helps with ageing gracefully or "well-ageing". It's hard for me to tell anything about ageing, but definitely moisture is important if you want to age gracefully and well.

For me, this ampoule is more like an ampoule to balance my skin condition and calm it. It's way lighter than many creams I use during winter and it doesn't cause me any acne. It do can sting a bit if you use it on fresh wounds but besides that, it's a perfect ampoule for my skin during winter.
