Can health go along with beauty? I believe so! I've been using contact lenses for half of my life, but the lenses I've been using were just regular ones. I wanted to try coloured lenses for a long time, but I've never been brave enough to do that until now. Olens is a Korean Beauty&Health eyestyling company. Their lenses are used by many Korean idols like Jennie from Blackpink. I've tried Olens Spanish Real Gray lenses and Olens Scandi Aqua as my first coloured lenses ever.
Can coloured lenses be corrective?
I feel like many people think that contact lenses are not for eyes with no vision problems and that coloured lenses shouldn't be used by people with vision issues. That's not true! The main reason for wearing lenses for many people is aesthetic issues or comfort issues - I started to wear lenses because I find glasses more problematic, and they usually don't fit me well. Lenses don't make me tired and I feel like thanks to contact lenses my sight is doing better than it would do with glasses. Coloured lenses are sometimes called "cosmetic lenses" since they change the visual colour of your iris, and that's something some people don't know - when you buy coloured lenses from Olens you can fit them to your needs, if you need corrective aspect of lenses, you can choose the shade of the lens and power. All the lenses I tested in this post are -3.00 power.

Olens Spanish Real Grey
DIA (diameter) 14,2 mm | G.DIA (graphic diameter) 11,9mm | Base curve 8.6mm | Water content: 38% | Material: HEMA (Hydroxyethyl methacrylate)
Olens Spanish Real Gray are the same lenses that Jennie from Blackpink wears. I got 1-month lenses because I'm not used to daily lenses, my experience with regular daily lenses was bad. Olens Spanish Real Gray are as easy to apply as regular monthly lenses. It's one of Olens' best sellers. Olens Spanish Real Gray has an 11,9mm graphic diameter (G.DIA) which makes them super unique. This size is specific for Olens and none of the other brands is doing coloured lenses in such G.DIA size. They won't make your eyes look bigger, but they will make your iris stand out. These lenses are available in 0.00 to -8.00 power. Besides Real Gray, Olens has other colours of Spanish lenses: Real Brown, Real Olive, Real Sky and Real Peach.
I wanted my first coloured lenses to look super natural so no one will notice that I wear coloured lenses especially since my natural eye colours are usually mistaken for coloured lenses. Olens Spanish Real Gray looks very subtle, and they should fit every eye colour. The inspiration for the Spanish series was natural eye iris so it's not a surprise why it's hard to say if you wear coloured lenses or not when you have them on. Olens Spanish Real Gray is a mixture of gray & gold shades. The lenses are very easy to apply - I'm not a beginner so I don't use any additional tools, I just put them on and blink until they fit my eyes. It usually takes one or two "blinks" until they fit my eye. What I love in Olens is that if you apply them the right way then you can't even notice these lenses on your eye. I know that I got lenses on because my vision gets better, but besides that, they are super comfortable to wear. I don't need to use eye drops when I use them. Olens Spanish Real Gray costs $24 for one pair. It's not a bad price especially since Olens has many great deals.
Olens Scandi Aqua
DIA (diameter) 14,2 mm | G.DIA (graphic diameter) 11,9mm | Base curve 8.6mm | Water content: 40% | Material: HEMA (Hydroxyethyl methacrylate)
Olens Scandi Aqua are the same lenses Rose from Blackpink wears, but I believe she wore Scandi Olive, not Aqua ones. It's one of the blendable lenses available at Olens. It's supposed to fit your natural iris and make it more visible. Scandi Aqua is this amazing blue shade with golden details. It looks super natural, and it's even visible on my eyes. I have to admit I couldn't get used to these lenses since they are so super bright on my eyes. Even if the water content of Scandi lenses is 2% bigger than the water content of Spanish lenses, I find Spanish lenses more suitable for my eyes. I have no idea why, but they are just easier to apply. If you have brown eyes I recommend this Scandi Aqua shade - it looks gorgeous even on blue eyes or green eyes Scandi Aqua looks nice too.
Olens Scandi Aqua has an 11,9mm graphic diameter (G.DIA) which makes them super unique. This size is specific for Olens and none of the other brands is doing coloured lenses in such G.DIA size. They won't make your eyes look bigger, but they will make your iris stand out. These lenses are available in 0.00 to -8.00 power. Besides Aqua shade, Olens Scandi is available in other shades like Scandi Hazel, Scandi Gray, Scandi Light Gray and Scandi Olive.
Olens Scandi lenses are available in 1-day (10 pcs/box or 20 pcs/box) and 1-month (2 pcs/box) versions. Olens Scandi Aqua are available in a 1-month (2 pcs/box) version. Olens Scandi Aqua costs $29 for one pair. It's not a bad price especially since Olens has many great deals.
Overall, I would recommend both styles if you want to try coloured lenses but you're scared of coloured lenses being too visible.
I am from the US, can I still order lenses from Olens?
Yes. Contact lenses in the US are not sold as easily as in Europe. In comparison, in Europe, I can ask my optometrist or eye doctor to order lenses for me or I can order them on my own. Some brands are available in stores so even if you're out of lenses you can buy them. I had a situation when I got my first lenses and I didn't know that 1-day lenses are not as easy to put as 1-month lenses I needed to grab new pair in a random drugstore in Paris. The US situation looks different because of US FCLCA (The Fairness to Contact Lens Consumers Act) so Olens can be ordered if you're living in the US but your lenses will go through a prescription verification system.
