Olens Ocean Velvet
Olens Ocean Velvet is a new April collection. I love how Olens comes out with new designs especially when these spring releases are more colourful and warm. I got cold-toned skin so warm shades might not be the best match for me, but the Ocean Velvet line proved me wrong! Sometimes it's all about makeup and the outfit you match your lenses to.
The main motto of Ocean Velvet line is "A new way to wear the color of sassiness". This collection has three different shades: Green, Hazel and Gray. In this post, I'm focusing on Green and Hazel shades, but you can expect the review of Ocean Velvet Gray soon.
The strongest point of Ocean Velvet lenses is a natural pattern with high pigmented colour gradation and a 13.0mm graphic diameter.
Olens Ocean Velvet Green

Ocean Velvet Green are the first Green lenses I have on myself. Since I got blue-green eyes, I wasn't sure what to expect. Usually, Olens shares photos of how the lenses look on models with darker eyes - brown or even black. I honestly love how well these lenses look on girls with medium skin tone and darker features - it's just something about these lenses that make them look more mysterious.
When I tried these lenses first, I wasn't sure how I feel since they make my eyes look brighter - I wasn't even aware that my eyes are naturally so dark until I tried Olens. My way of thinking changed when I applied makeup and figure out that black eyeliner which normally doesn't work the best with my eyes and skin turns out to work perfectly with Ocean Velvet Green. It's even better - I can use them with an eyeshadow palette which I don't use a lot because the shades are too gold, but these lenses just scream to use them with gold and purple shades!
When you see how it looks on a photo with huge zoom then you might see the details of the print, but normally these lenses look super natural to the eye, and people can't notice. They are super comfortable to wear during the day and I started to love 1-day lenses thanks to Olens since I can bring a pair or more with me when I travel and just change them.
Olens Ocean Velvet Hazel

Ocean Velvet Hazel are super warm. It's not a cold-toned, brown lense but a warm-toned, gold lens that can add depth to the eye if your eyes are naturally dark. I guess I was in bigger shock when I tried the first pair of Hazel lenses than when I applied the Green ones. I still have to figure out what colours match well, but I guess these lenses on my eyes would go well with pink shades or even grey shades.
Ocean Velvet Hazel lenses are super comfortable to wear and easy to apply. Usually, 1-day lenses are complicated to use since they are very soft and hard to keep the grid, these lenses are soft and full of water content, but they are not wobbly when you apply them. They kinda give me the illusion of having hazel&green eyes, but the pattern detail is not visible when someone sees you - they need to use the zoom on a phone to see the details, which is a cool thing because the design looks so natural that it can enhance your eye colour. The pattern is rich in pigment and Olens as always did a great job with this model! Do you know the "my lips but better" trend? It's the same, but it's an eye colour but a better version.
