Do you want a subtle change in your look? Then eyestyling is for you! I've tried Olens two different lens series: Olens Ocean Velvet and Olens Scandi Gray to show you how more delicate lenses look on light eyes.
Can coloured lenses be corrective?
I feel like many people think that contact lenses are not for eyes with no vision problems and that coloured lenses shouldn't be used by people with vision issues. That's not true! The main reason for wearing lenses for many people is aesthetic issues or comfort issues - I started to wear lenses because I find glasses more problematic, and they usually don't fit me well. Lenses don't make me tired and I feel like thanks to contact lenses my sight is doing better than it would do with glasses. Coloured lenses are sometimes called "cosmetic lenses" since they change the visual colour of your iris, and that's something some people don't know - when you buy coloured lenses from Olens you can fit them to your needs, if you need corrective aspect of lenses, you can choose the shade of the lens and power. All the lenses I tested in this post are -3.00 power.
About Olens
Olens is the no. 1 premium colour contact lens brand from South Korea. This brand makes regular lenses as well as coloured lenses. It's a pioneer in Beauty&Healthy eyestyling, and it's a brand that is recognised all over the world. Olens products were used in many Kdramas and photoshoots. The brand was in the spotlight of many beauty programs in Korea.
How to choose lenses for my eyes and skin?
If you want to try Olens so badly, but don't know what colour fits your skin - Olens has the #FindMyOlens option which helps you choose a lens shade that fits your skin tone. You can also choose graphic size and colour. There are even styling videos that can help you choose a makeup style to fit your eyes with Olens lenses on.
Olens Ocean Velvet
Olens Ocean Velvet is a collection which I already tried in April. I was worried back then that the Ocean Velvet line might not fit me, but I like these lenses, the key is the right makeup!
The main motto of Ocean Velvet line is "A new way to wear the colour of sassiness". This collection has three different shades: Green, Hazel and Gray. I've tried the Green version. The strongest point of Ocean Velvet lenses is a natural pattern with high pigmented colour gradation and a 13.0mm graphic diameter.
Olens Ocean Velvet Green
DIA (diameter) 14,2 mm | G.DIA (graphic diameter) 13,0 mm | Base curve 8.7mm | Water content: 43% | Material: HEMA
Ocean Velvet Green is the first Green lens I had on myself. Since I had blue-green eyes, I wasn't sure what to expect. Usually, Olens shares photos of how the lenses look on models with darker eyes - brown or even black. I honestly love how well these lenses look on girls with medium skin tones and darker features - it's just something about these lenses that makes them look more mysterious.
With time I started to enjoy these lenses more, especially for autumn time when I wear dark clothes and darker makeup. Eye + makeup contrast is amazing.
When you see how it looks on a photo with huge zoom then you might see the details of the print, but normally these lenses look super natural to the eye, and people can't notice. They are super comfortable to wear during the day, and I started to love 1-day lenses thanks to Olens since I can bring a pair or more with me when I travel and just change them.
Olens Scandi Gray
DIA (diameter) 14,2 mm | G.DIA (graphic diameter) 11,9mm | Base curve 8.6mm | Water content: 40% | Material: HEMA (Hydroxyethyl methacrylate)
I've tried Olens Scandi line but I've never had the Gray version on my eyes, and guess what? I love it! Some people don't like changing eye colour and they just want a subtle colour hint. If that's something you want then Olens Scandi line is for you.
Olens Scandi Gray is supposed to fit your natural iris and make it more visible. Scandi Gray is a mix of warm and cold tones. It looks super natural, and it's even visible in my eyes. I had huge problems with other versions to get used to the Scandi line but somehow Gray version is better than Aqua for me.
Olens Scandi Gray has an 11,9mm graphic diameter (G.DIA) which makes them super unique. This size is specific for Olens and none of the other brands is doing coloured lenses in such G.DIA size. They won't make your eyes look bigger, but they will make your iris stand out. These lenses are available in 0.00 to -8.00 power. Besides Gray shade, Olens Scandi is available in other shades like Scandi Hazel, Scandi Aqua, Scandi Light Gray and Scandi Olive.
I am from the US, can I still order lenses from Olens?
Yes. Contact lenses in the US are not sold as easily as in Europe. In comparison, in Europe, I can ask my optometrist or eye doctor to order lenses for me or I can order them on my own. Some brands are available in stores so even if you're out of lenses you can buy them. I had a situation when I got my first lenses and I didn't know that 1-day lenses are not as easy to put as 1-month lenses I needed to grab a new pair in a random drugstore in Paris. The US situation looks different because of the US FCLCA (The Fairness to Contact Lens Consumers Act) so Olens can be ordered if you're living in the US but your lenses will go through a prescription verification system.

I have to admit, this time I really enjoyed lighter lens colours but still, darker lenses are my weakness, but some change is good sometimes.
Which version would you choose?
