About Dr. Ceuracle.

Dr.Ceuracle is a South Korean skincare brand. According to the brand's website, Dr. Ceuracle has created solutions for skin troubles since 2000. You probably heard about Dr. Ceuracle before but under a different name. Previously, this brand was known as Leegeehaam. The brand is focused on technology and data to provide suitable, professional solutions for the skin. Brand's logo - "seed mark" that looks like a percentage with two seeds in it means balance between cure and care. Dr. Ceuracle creates solutions based on natural ingredients, but they combine these ingredients with scientific knowledge. Each product is developed by the brand's dermatologist team in a professional skin research lab. Dr. Ceuracle has three main skincare lines: Natural Derma, Medical Derma & Personal Care. The medical derma line contains series as AC Cure Solution, Pure Yc Mellight, PLC, Hyal Reyouth, 5α Control and Deesse. Personal care is all about scalp & makeup. Natural Derma line is made out of series like Vegan, Tea Tree Purifine, Royal Vita Propolis, Pro Balance and Cica Regen.

I'm interested in the Vegan line, you might heard about the Kombucha series, but Dr. Ceuracle added new products from this line and this time it's not about Kombucha but Berries.

Water hides in cosmetic products under names such as Aqua or Eau. It's a solvent, but it's not your regular drinking water. Water in skin care needs to fit some standards. It should be clean and free from minerals, microorganisms or other substances. Usually, water makes up the majority of the content of the product. Glycerin or Glycerol is a humectant. Its origin can be natural or synthetic - depending on the product. It protects TEWL (transepidermal water loss) and naturally occurs in the skin. It's one of the NMFs - natural moisturizing factors. It's practical in hair care. Glycerin won't clog your skin or irritate it just the opposite - it protects your skin from irritation. 1,2-Hexanediol is a synthetic solvent and preservative - it protects products from microorganisms by boosting other preservatives. At the same time, it can moisturize the skin, and it has no unpleasant effects on your epidermis. Methylpropanediol is a solvent with antimicrobial properties. Glycereth-26 is a synthetic emollient and humectant. Even the name reminds us of glycerin - it's not a surprise since Glycereth-26 is related to glycerin. It has thickening properties. Centella Asiatica Extract is probably the most popular extract in skincare. It comes under a few names - Asiatic pennywort, tiger grass or Gotu kola. Centella Asiatica's roots are in Ayurveda. This extract is successful because it's a source of triterpene saponins - madecassoside and asiaticoside. Centella Asiatica Extract has anti-inflammatory properties. It speeds up the wound-healing process. You can use it to treat acne since it has soothing and antibacterial properties. It boosts fibroblasts to produce collagen and elastin or even helps with hyaluronic acid synthesis. Centella is recommended for rosacea and cellulitis since it helps with blood microcirculation. In hair care, Centella can help with hair growth. Ficus Carica (Fig) Fruit Extract is a source of vitamins C, B1, B2 and B6. It's an antioxidant and it's supposed to support collagen synthesis. Fig contains substances that might make your skin sensitive to sunlight so always remember to use sunscreen when you use Fig Fruit Extract. Laminaria Japonica Extract is an anti-inflammatory and antibacterial antioxidant. It's a source of fucoidan and laminarin. It has moisturizing properties. Eclipta Prostrata (False Daisy) Leaf Extract is a source of vitamin C, flavonoids, triterpenes or phytosterol. False Daisy is a typical herb for Ayurveda. In skin care, this ingredient has anti-aging properties and it's an antioxidant. In hair care, it helps with hair growth and regeneration. Vaccinium Macrocarpon (Cranberry) Fruit Extract (230Ppm) is an antioxidant and a source of flavonoids and natural acids like citric acid. Cranberry Fruit Extract has important meaning for blood vessels - it strengthens them and prevents the formation of fresh telangiectasias (or spider veins) and helps with swelling. It fights damage caused by free radicals. Eclipta Prostrata (False Daisy) Extract is a source of vitamin C, flavonoids, triterpenes or phytosterol. False Daisy is a typical herb for Ayurveda. In skin care, this ingredient has anti-aging properties and it's an antioxidant. In hair care, it helps with hair growth and regeneration.

Melia Azadirachta Leaf Extract or Neem Leaf Extract has antibacterial properties. Hydrogenated Lecithin is a version of lecithin. It works as an emollient in the formulas. Sodium Hyaluronate or sodium salt of hyaluronic acid. It's a form of hyaluronic acid and naturally occurs in the skin. Sodium Hyaluronate has strong water-binding properties. Sodium hyaluronate combined with elastin and collagen is like a scaffolding for the skin. It has hydrating properties and leaves a hydrating film on the skin, but sodium hyaluronate prevents skincare products from drying. Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil is an emollient with antioxidant properties. It's a source of polyphenols such as flavonoids and resveratrol. It's a very lightweight oil. It fits all skin types. Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil is an oil which you probably know well from your kitchen. Olive Oil in cosmetics works as an emollient. It's a source of many antioxidants and vitamins such as vitamins A, and E and fatty acids like oleic acid. It has nourishing properties. Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil is an essential oil ideal for acne-prone and mature skin types. It moderates sebum production, has antibacterial properties and can help with cellulite. It makes blood vessels less fragile. It's mostly used for its scent properties. Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil is an essential oil with a characteristic scent. It has some relaxing and antibacterial properties, but it can irritate your skin. Anthemis Nobilis (Chamomile) Flower Oil is a source of bisabolol and azulenes. It has antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and soothing properties. It can boost the healing process. Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil is an essential oil. It makes a product smell nice. Juniperus Mexicana Oil or Texas Cedarwood Oil is an essential oil. It adds a scent to the product. Diglycerin, as the name says, is related to glycerin. It's a humectant and NMF (Natural Moisturizing Factor). Isononyl Isononanoate is a dry emollient. It prevents skin from dehydration. It has wide use in the beauty industry since it makes product application easier. It helps brush the hair and has anti-static properties. It makes pigments more intensive. It leaves a delicate film on the skin and hair. Octyldodeceth-16 is an emulsifier. Carbomer is a synthetic thickener. Tromethamine is a synthetic pH adjuster. Adenosine naturally occurs in the skin. One of the adenosine's roles in our bodies is being a neurotransmitter. In skin care, we use adenosine for its anti-wrinkle properties. Adenosine is an anti-inflammatory ingredient. It can boost collagen production. At the same time, it speeds up the healing process. Adenosine can have positive effects on reducing redness. In hair care, adenosine can help with hair loss. Disodium EDTA neutralizes metal ions in the formula to keep products fresh. Fructooligosaccharides are prebiotics. They nourish the skin and help the microbiome. Butylene Glycol is a common ingredient in products. It's not only a solvent. We use butylene glycol because it helps with the penetration of active ingredients, protects products from drying and moisturizes skin and hair. This ingredient can prevent hair loss and make your hair stronger. Cyamopsis Tetragonoloba (Guar) Gum thickens the formula. Agar is a polysaccharide derived from seaweed. It's a vegan-friendly thickener. Beta-glucan is a polysaccharide. It can come from yeast, seaweed or fungi. It's one of the best humectants with soothing properties. It might help with reducing wrinkle visibility on the epidermis. Some sources say it might be an antioxidant. It's good to mix it with niacinamide and retinoids or use it after skincare treatments to heal the skin quickly. Beta-glucan leaves a film on the skin to prevent TEWL and lock the moisture inside the skin.

Betaine is an amino acid. In skincare products, we use it for its moisturizing properties. Betaine keeps the water balance of the skin. It makes wrinkles appear less visible, and it soothes irritated skin. In hair care, betaine doesn't only moisturize the hair. It makes hair soft and shiny. Betaine in cosmetics usually comes from sweet beetroots. It naturally occurs in the skin and hair. Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid is a low-weight humectant. We have to remember that not every molecule can get through the skin surface and lower molecule HA can penetrate the skin deeper and bring moisture inside the skin. It's a natural polymer that binds water in the skin to prevent TEWL (transepidermal water loss). Ceramides naturally occur in the skin - it's like cement in the skin. Ceramide NP (also known as Ceramide 3) strengthens the skin barrier to prevent dehydration. Xanthan Gum is a polysaccharide that works as a thickener. Titanium Dioxide (Ci 77891) is a mineral (or physical) sunscreen agent. It protects your skin from UVB and UVA II radiation and might cover some lower waves in the UVA I spectrum. It has a typical white colour visible on the skin, unless it's a nano version then this white tint might not be visible at all. This ingredient has a second task - it works as a pigment. Titanium Dioxide works perfectly for skin that needs visible protection like skin with melasma, nice that white pigment works as a barrier or protective film on the skin. It has one additional task, it makes products stay fresh a bit longer. Moringa Oleifera Seed Oil is an emollient rich in oleic acid and vitamin E. It prevents TEWL (transepidermal water loss). Resveratrol is an antioxidant with anti-inflammatory properties. It can be naturally found in red wine, red grapes and berries. It's rich in polyphenols. It speeds up the healing process, it makes skin more hydrated since it affects GAG (glycosaminoglycans - sugars that naturally occur in skin). In concentrations above 0.5%, it's recommended for pigmentation due to resveratrol's inhibitory effect on tyrosinase. It's a great ingredient if you want to slow down aging process. Collagen is a big moisturizing molecule that leaves a film on the surface of the skin. It's an ingredient that naturally occurs in our skin. Collagen is made of amino acids. In our skin, we can find collagen types I and III. Collagen can't penetrate your skin, but it makes your skin barrier stronger and it can make wrinkles less visible visually. Leuconostoc/Radish Root Ferment Filtrate is a natural preservative with antibacterial properties. Squalane is an ingredient very similar to our sebum. Squalane and squalene sound similar, but there's a difference. Squalane has no double bonds while squalene has double bonds. What does it mean? Squalane is a more stable version of squalene. What I love about this ingredient is how well it works with all skin types, and how our skin needs it. Believe me, if your skin is irritated - go for squalane! This ingredient is usually derived from sugarcane or olives. It acts like an emollient and you need it in your life. Triethoxycaprylylsilane is a silicone used to coat sunscreens and pigments. It makes the product easier to spread. Aluminum Hydroxide or CI 77002 is a white pigment and emollient. It's used in antiperspirants since it absorbs sweat and sebum. Caprylyl Glycol is an oily emollient and humectant. It leaves a moisturizing film on the surface of the skin.

How does Dr. Ceuracle Vegan Active Berry First Essence work?

I didn't expect a lot from this essence, and honestly, it blew my mind! Do you need an essence in your routine? I see the benefits of adding essence to my routine, but I'm in my late 20s so apparently, an aging process already started for me (the aging process starts around age 25). Essence in Korea can be used as a serum - these two are very similar, some brands just sell toners as essences but I see this trend more in Europe or the States, even if lately this trend is changing. It's up to you if you want to add essence or not. It's not a product you must have in your routine.

Dr. Ceuracle Vegan Active Berry First Essence is cruelty-free, and just as the name says - it's vegan-friendly. Dr. Ceuracle calls this line "cleanical vegan" not "clean beauty" because they mix clean beauty and biotechnology. I do hate the "clean beauty" trend since it's a fearmongering trend in which brands just like to say the worst things about other brands that use safe ingredients (they are safe since they went through research and have certain norms), and it's quite common that brands for marketing use the worst research available aka not the one we can relate. Dr. Ceuracle doesn't do that, they just mix high-quality ingredients from nature and biotechnology. It's a functional vegan line with upcycled ingredients. The brand decided to minimize the use of plastics and focus on ethical processes.

What's interesting and important? Dr. Ceuracle uses encapsulated resveratrol. According to graphics on Dr. Ceuracle site, you can see that Resveratrol is in a capsule made out of agar. This is supposed to make resveratrol get deeper into the skin. This essence contains 20,000 ppm of Active Berry Complex. This complex contains resveratrol, upcycled grape seed oil and cranbetinol. The last one, Cranbetinol is supposed to have an effect similar to Retinol. It's a peptide obtained from cranberry. The cranberry extract in Vegan Active Berry is cold-pressed and purified. It's an after-extraction product. Besides that, we can find in this product Phyto-Collagen - low molecular collagen.

The formula has almost no scent. The texture is thick and I love it. It reminds me of delicate gel with tiny capsules. The capsules melt on the skin, you don't even need lots of force or heat to release resveratrol. I find this essence very moisturizing. From what I saw, different skin types enjoyed this one, since you can have dry or oily skin, this essence has ingredients beneficial for both skin types. It's just simply good. It lasts quite long because you don't need big amounts of it to moisturise the skin. If you are searching for a hydrating essence, this is the one! If you want to focus on pigmentation or wrinkles then I do not know if this one helps with wrinkles. In the longer run (6-8 weeks), you might see some changes, but I would add other products with resveratrol or another antioxidant to get the results I want to achieve.

It leaves a protective film on the surface of the epidermis to save your cutis from dehydration. Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride has a significant role in skin care products - it makes the application process effortless. Some people might experience pore-clogging after using Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride but pore-clogging and skin reactions to ingredients are individual. How does Dr. Ceuracle Vegan Active Berry Lifting Cream work?

I was a bit scared that maybe Dr. Ceuracle Vegan Active Berry Lifting Cream might be too heavy for me. In reality, it's a lightweight cream but the key to the right application is the amount. It's a gel-like formula, but it's more of a creamy gel than regular gel. It's a lightweight product, but if you apply too much of this cream, especially during your morning routine, before sunscreen then it might mess up your makeup a bit, so when applying bigger amounts of Dr. Ceuracle Vegan Active Berry Lifting Cream, remember that you can't follow the cream with sunscreen right away.

I enjoy using this cream, it's a delicate formula that works with my skincare routine. It gives skin a dewy finish. The bottle and design are amazing, but there's no spatula and I don't find this solution the best, on the other hand, am I the only person who has over 100 spatulas? I had to throw away some because the amount of spatulas I got was a bit too big. The tiny capsules in Dr. Ceuracle Vegan Active Berry Lifting Cream aren't as visible as in essence. I can't say if it works on fine lines since I don't have a problem with that yet, but it's a good moisturizer rich in antioxidants.

Where to buy Dr. Ceuracle Vegan Active Berry First Essence and Dr. Ceuracle Vegan Active Berry Lifting Cream? How much do they cost?

I got Dr. Ceuracle Vegan Active Berry First Essence and Dr. Ceuracle Vegan Active Berry Lifting Cream from Bemused Korea. 150ml of essence and 75g of cream cost $40 each at a regular price, but now they cost $28.

Overall, it's a good line, not only if you want to take care of first wrinkles, but it's also a good line for anyone who needs antioxidants in their routine.

Do you know Dr.Ceuracle? What do you think about this series?
